Bought a 20 card, bought a 1 euro game, since the merc pack was 18.

Price increase isnt my issue perse, but the lack of announcement. Its been 18 since it was introduced so me thinking it would stay that way isnt that strange imo

got a phone numer or email for sales? Cause I sure as hell cant find it(not anything direct anyways). and i think PSN storefront has little to do with the (ridiculous) changes ccp makes to its packs.

Out of curiosity have the UK and US prices changed too, or they just shafting us europeans?

It has to do with exchange rates. CCP sales are based off of the $USD. It is still the same $19.99 USD as it has always been (barring the PS+ sale)

had 19 euros on me PSN for a while, was saving that to buy the merc pack when next build hit(since the current build really doesnt warrant any kind of expenditure on the game, even if its renewed at launch)

Considering the new merc pack limited offer I figured id get that.

Now to my great surprise I see that the price has changed to 20 euros instead of 18.

This was not mentioned in the announcement thread and I dont see how the 3 day promotion would result in a permanent price increase.


I'll be damned if I have to get another 20 euro psn card.. when I bought this 20 euro psn card specifically for the merc pack. If you had announced the price increase in the thread at least I would have been able to get it.

I think sony might be the issue. I've noticed that the price of their PS3 download games is insane.
Its as if they are oblivious to how much they could make if they went the way of steam and priced their games fairly and did massive seasonal sales.

But generally I've noticed their general running has bee terrible. Its as if once after the PS2 era, the head of Sony sacked their entire gaming department and swapped them with children and colouring crayons.

Don't worry your not the only region that gets bent over in regards to price, despite the Australian dollar being worth slightly more then the US dollar we have to pay 50% more for the merc pack... We are used to being ****** on prices though, recently I was in the market for a magnetic fishtank cleaner thingie (technical term) 50 bucks in the stores in oz, 10 bucks online from America, even being shipped across the damn planet its cheaper.

CCPs stance on the matter: nothing we can do about it.

I wonder if we can buy it from the US store and get the gear transferred to our EU accounts. CCP still makes the $20 they want and we pay less. I can just see the prices getting dropped in a few days or so.

The problem is regardless of us being shafted already, they increased the prices even more today(ridicilous %s in some regions) for which there is no excuse.

You can't. PSN doesn't allow you to move your account to another store once created. Even if you move to another country, your account is stuck in the old country.
Only solution is to create a new account with an address in that country, but the items can not yet be transferred to your real account.

By the way, I just logged onto DUST, just to check if the AUR prices had received the same hike. I got nothing. Even if I selected the GET AUR option under Market, I only get one option. The Merc Pack.

Are other countries seeing the same thing?

The AUR has been took off the market for a few days now (maybe longer). I think it's a last ditch effort to milk the last bit they can out of the merc pack.
