had 19 euros on me PSN for a while, was saving that to buy the merc pack when next build hit(since the current build really doesnt warrant any kind of expenditure on the game, even if its renewed at launch)
Considering the new merc pack limited offer I figured id get that.
Now to my great surprise I see that the price has changed to 20 euros instead of 18.
This was not mentioned in the announcement thread and I dont see how the 3 day promotion would result in a permanent price increase.
I'll be damned if I have to get another 20 euro psn card.. when I bought this 20 euro psn card specifically for the merc pack. If you had announced the price increase in the thread at least I would have been able to get it.
Its goddamn bullshit really, you just lost a customer.
On the Danish store they just hiked the price up by 45%, to Gé¼26 (~$34) |

but no
The Mercenary Pack is available now in the US for $19.99 USD and on June 27 in Europe for 17.00 / 13.99.
Was 18 few days ago, is 19.99 now. What warrants the price increase for EU but not other regions?(it was already tax adjusted prior to this price change)
$19.99 != 19.99 euro
The whole $1 == Gé¼1 circus is not uncommon. Some idiots think we Europeans have a lot of money., and like to pay more. (I can't remember where, but some Electronics giant rep once stated that) It is not that we like to pay more, it is that we have no way of getting the products for the correct price due to illegal trade blocks that somehow are treated as being legal, even if they break the fundamental trade regs of the original WTO charter for free trade. |

No, not that I can see. Everything seems to be where it's been all the time, it is only the Merc Pack that got a 45% hike here.
Then again, Denmark (Scandinavia) also got shafted on the 50% discount offer for a year of PSN+. The lower price never emerged here. |

@DEVS and @CCP. We REALLY need you on this thread. This is insanely important, as the offer with the bonus items only lasts till Sunday!
Time is critical! |

I need then here so we can figure out what to do about this. A 5, 6 or 7% hike can be excused, if it had been on all store items. It isn't, so there is no excuse.
What I want to know is why some countries have gotten a 45% hike. What I want to know is what more we get for that much more money. |

Beld Errmon wrote:Don't worry your not the only region that gets bent over in regards to price, despite the Australian dollar being worth slightly more then the US dollar we have to pay 50% more for the merc pack... We are used to being ****** on prices though, recently I was in the market for a magnetic fishtank cleaner thingie (technical term) 50 bucks in the stores in oz, 10 bucks online from America, even being shipped across the damn planet its cheaper.
CCPs stance on the matter: nothing we can do about it.
We have the problem on iTunes as well, we pay about 79% more than the Americans do, for the exact same tracks. |

Ad ski wrote:I wonder if we can buy it from the US store and get the gear transferred to our EU accounts. CCP still makes the $20 they want and we pay less. I can just see the prices getting dropped in a few days or so.
You can't. PSN doesn't allow you to move your account to another store once created. Even if you move to another country, your account is stuck in the old country. Only solution is to create a new account with an address in that country, but the items can not yet be transferred to your real account.
By the way, I just logged onto DUST, just to check if the AUR prices had received the same hike. I got nothing. Even if I selected the GET AUR option under Market, I only get one option. The Merc Pack.
Are other countries seeing the same thing? |

Dredd Deacon wrote:the problem is NOT that were getting shafted price wise, this is nothing new.
The problem is regardless of us being shafted already, they increased the prices even more today(ridicilous %s in some regions) for which there is no excuse.
In EVE I can choose to buy my game time from CCP, or from a myriad of other resellers, including US resellers. And I can use my US bought time codes just fine. CCP should try to do something similar, allowing us to use an EVE PLEX card to get AUR and Merc Pack. It would solve the problem of regional shafting of people who just happens to live in the wrong country.
Edit: Just to put things straight, I sent a complaint to the Danish Consumer Counsel earlier today, regarding the used exchange rate being some 79% above the real exchange rate. Not just on PSN Store, but in general. They keep clamouring about goods being too pricey in Denmark, compared to our neighbours, yet they seem to ignore the biggest elephant in the room. Enough it enough. |

And you know what the worst part is? We probably end up caving to the insanity, because of the time limited offer of some cool extra suits and items.
They have us by the gonads, and they'll keep adding pressure till we faint. Then they'll strip us, take our wallets and run away, expecting us to be happy about them allowing us to keep a fig leaf for cover. |

I'm positive this is all Sony, and not CCP. But it is going to hurt CCP in the long run, and CCP ought to be on this issue like hawks. But the lack of any comments by DEV's here is frustrating. One might even get the feeling CCP just don't care that Sony are screwing their players over. |

Just got a mail from GM Unicorn about this. The price on the Danish store were an error, and the price have been reduced to 149.95 DKR.
Can my Scandinavian brethren confirm this for their local stores?
Now we just have to get Sony to adjust the AURUM packs similarly, they are still listed at the erroneous price tags.
Or are they?
What is the US prices for the various AURUM packs? |
