I've gotten the check list you describe but when I use it there is no option to select amounts, it simply assigns all of the items of that type.

It's been all or nothing, is there a step I'm missing that let's you distribute them somehow?

If you buy the merc park from the market inside you character It automatically gives all the items to that character. You can not give them to another character. So now I have two dragonfly suits and sub machine guns in same character. Not a big deal now since we will be wiped but after the game launches this would suck. So just a heads up.

I only just bought the second one so I am not sure but this may be a problem send an email to support and post here their response if you don't mind.
