Yes the BETA WITH MERC PACK is releasing with new ps3, not the full launch.

Who the **** bundles a "beta" with a console?! Thats no way to sell a console. CCP is gunning for a 2012 release if it doesn't launch in October it'll definitly launch in November or December and the game still wont be ready.

Its a downgraded merc pack at $30 value that's bundled with the ps3, the beta is a bonus. They are bundling it with the ps3 to get more people in the beta (for those who don't have a beta key).
The full launch is not until end of the year/early 2013 and Sony are in the wrong if they are promoting it any other way.
People are taking the announcement the wrong way bro, they are stating that the 500gb ps3 is launching in October with dust merc pack/beta. Jesus F'n christ are people really that dense to think dust is 'officially' launching in October?? Has there been any 'official' announcement made by ccp? NO!

I was around for the two month PSN fiasco last year and they never really addressed anything during that process. Don't put a lot of stock in what they say, guys. They make great electronics, but that's about as far as it goes. Edit: I will guarantee they are pushing CCP to finish the game, but their recent claims of the release are merely a means to drum up business for the new PS3.

Things happen, I get it, the game wasn't and isn't ready and CCP is recognizing that. If CCP were going to release it before it's time, I think that would have happened last year. Give them a shot, guys. They are new to FPS. Have they steered everyone wrong with EVE? Please consider their history, their ability to admit mistakes, and their desire to put out the best game possible to make their fans happy. They know the profits for this game are going to require that it be one people will play for a long time. For being a F2P game, they sure are busting their humps.
