If you aren't squad leader you can still open up the squad leader menu except your only option is to ping a target or location.
It could look like the rally point or any other objective command marker except being a different color, maybe green would work, and it will only last a few seconds. It could be helpful to inform everyone on you squad were a vehicle is dropped in, a good spot to lay down an orbital, a snipers location, etc. |

i could see this working. especially since some squad leaders dont mark anything. it could help squad leaders to mark things. pinging something will not result in bonus XP, just a visual for others in your squad and to help the squad leader. +1 |

Would be incredibly helpful, particularly since it's hard to give an accurate direction when reference things off the map. |

I approve of this idea as well. While I generally run with the same crew and we're all working mics in English, it would be nice in freelance squads to be able to assist in directing when not everyone has mics and SL isn't doing his job... or squaddies have no focus of their own. |

I think even squad leaders should be able to do this, as just a location identifier. Just something like "there's a sniper HERE *boop*"
I'd love for it to be its own button, but dunno what I'd sacrifice to put it there, maybe have it take the place of the scoreboard's button? Or, could have it R2+L3 to pull up a wheel of various color markers so that you can distinguish between different peoples' marks. Have em last like 30 seconds or something and auto disappear. |

It could easily be one of the options on the command wheel (hold R2, press R3), but one that's available for EVERYONE instead of just the squad leader. |
