Silly vets and silly ISK-nerds.
It's not about simply Zerg rushing nor is it simply about K/D R. It's about conquering the enemy. Plain and simple. There will always be a way to do so.
Look at past wars where people had smaller numbers but actually won or fought surprisingly well.
While you guys storm the battlefield with a crap load of soldiers or focus on strictly offensive tactics my corporation's mercs will be communicating and planning on how to take you down.
Oh the enemy is running around in tanks? Shock-Troopers with Swarm Launchers.
Oh your crew is known for rushing the field? We place sniper rifles on the strategic points and close you in to the point where you're nothing but easy picking targets.
Your corp has the best snipers in the known Universe? Recon and Infiltration teams are a go.
Oh so your corporation is known for their K/D R? Underhanded tactics and preemptive strategies will be of the topic.
I don't care what you guys say. If your leaders don't command smart, you have the highest chance of losing. Backed up with 500+ ISK or known for your skill as killers.
Can't believe people are debating this. Lol. Guess that just mean there are a lot of naive Mercs out there that my corp will either make into tacticians or crush under their feet. |

Guess that just mean there are a lot of naive Mercs out there that my corp will either make into tacticians or crush under their feet. too bad that isn't going to be how it works. the power of money will beat the tar out of any corp not backed by a true corp. fielding unlimited top tier min maxed tanks everyone is vomiting out is going to be impossible to "tactician" out of. get your kitten rockets and all the stuff you can try to take them out. but if you blow one up another one will spawn. you obviously don't know the power of isk and real backers. when the dreadnaughts come and strips the planet of your presence that will be the true test. you can talk about kill death all you want, it's not going to matter if you don't get a real corp behind you.
>.> Didn't I just say Kill/Death doesn't matter? See. You're one of those silly-ISK nerds. When it comes to smaller factions vs larger factions strategy has and can help the smaller faction win.
And besides it would be pretty stupid for a Corp, no matter how large, to continuously feed money to back up IN-EFFICIENT players. Wtf spends money on a merc corp that's going to die a lot every time, and waste money (and let's be honest having a noob with militia/cheaper equips against a skilled fighter with prototype equips will almost always have the skilled fighter winning) trying to swarm? And like I said if they're just "swarming" there will be ways of dealing with them because of their inflexibility.

People who work well together might just form their own corp with the aid of EVE players as advisors. We can't really tell how that would go right now. It's very open. Some would work as private armies. Others would work as the hired mercs they are. Others would have specific purposes.
And yeah that's the point. Have a team full of efficient, skilled players with efficient equips do the dirty work.
Strategy is still a big key point here that many people are ignoring. Swarming implies exactly what swarming is: Using a continuous force. That means there is little thought behind it other than get in, do that mission, and get out. And again mercs who only know how to kill aren't good except in missions that requires direct battles.
Tacticians are going to be very valuable Mercs when the time comes. Just you watch. |

Because that's the way people make it seem like they're going to fight here in this Dust thread.
All I'm hearing is "ISK will make me win every time by flooding the battlefield!"
Or
"K/D R is the bestest!"
I even said that Tacticians will be the most fought over guys here...Never said no one would use strategy. |
