Also thx for the compliments, feeling alot of love in this forum Kinda unfortunate I haven't played protoman cause everytime I faced him I was in a tank and in no tank this build :( There are also alot of other players that I havent mentioned that are good too.
Well I took some days off, watched all of Homeland and Avengers last night. Ill be playing a LOT more with this new build.
But when the new build comes, Ill be on your 6 killing everything in sight. |

After playing DocHoliday last night, my impression of him as a player has changed.
Each time I or someone in our squad fought him, all he did was throw thukker grenades at us. Not a single shot fired, sometimes he would use all 3 grenades on 1 player and then go in for the kill. If your first, second and third move are chuck a thukker grenade at your opponent..
Doc, you play a 1000 times better then this, you are a very good player but with moves like this you seem like a halo noob. Seriously I had a huge amount of respect for you as a solid AR player, but after last night not so much.
PS. Maybe Doc was just proving a point to us/me about these grenades. Until I talk to him in forums or comm, I still hold Doc as a great player and very good guy. |

Oh I agree Sleepy, if he used them every now and then but his entire attack was sitting on nanohives, chuking Thukker grenades. Which is fine, its your game play as you want. But when its just 1vs1, and your first 3 moves are to hide and throw grenades, every single time you fight then yeah thats a funky problem. As a forum poster, as a player, as someone I have talked to in game, I still hold him in the highest of regards, but after last nights display of cowardice I just don't find him to be as a good as he was.
IMO, just in my opinion not STB or anyone else (maybe God-Nova) grenades are ruining the game experience to me. It feels like Halo all over again (I hate Halo with a passion), no gun fighting just throw grenades and hope for the best, is not real fighting to me. Just stating how I personally feel about grenades. 3-4 grenades is to much, if each player got 1 grenade I would be ok with that. But giving each of us 3-4 of them, is just making this game more and more like HALO. |

I played Halo, great solo story but once you got to multiplayer matches, it was throw grenade, throw grenade, kill someone die and start all over, watch any E-sport match of halo, grenades are the #1 killer in that game. That is not real combat fighting that is grenade fighting. Same thing with Dust, again when a majority of players start a fight grenades, then more and more grenades, that is the current combat I am seeing in games now.

I have to agree that grenades do ruin it a bit for me too, mainly because they can easily be spammed at supply depots and a free milita grenade can one shot an expensive protosuit. Also with thukkers I wouldn't mind them if they were moved to officer salvage and the market version replaced by maybe a shorter fused sticky grenade (yes, kinda like the semtex in CoD I know). Resupply depots shouldn't resupply grenades, but maybe allow a feature were you can click on a nanohive and either use it all up or lower the amount of nanites significantly to resupply your grenades.
+1, again not trying to kill off grenades, they are a combat must for a FPS like this. But to be able to spam them by sitting on nanohives, ammo supplies and once every 2 seconds you just chuck a grenade, you basically made infantry tank units that don't actually fight. Why play a massdriver weapon when all you need is a nanohive and grenades.
Prior to this build grenades were not given out via nanohive or ammo supply, grenades were not an issue at that time. Well with one change to this build, you now make grenades the most powerful item and then let each player spam them.
Thukkers themselves should be gone, no instant explosive should be available like this, reminds of RE's before the patch.
Sleepy, do you think that when we get team killing on, that maybe less grenades will used as you might be killing your own team as much as the enemy? (just asking Sleepy, but anyone please post)
Like I have stated prior, small fixes not nerfs need to happen to this game to make it great. So don't nerf the item, just make it so its spammable in game a/o have less of them on each player. A grenade with more power like that, should be limited to 1 per life. While A/V should be 2-4, slow grenades 2 maybe, basically the worse the grenade the less you have, but also limit the resupply. |

Have you ever played quake or unreal? how about you play halo at the top tier level and then say its easy hur hur. unreal is what this engine is. ******* unbeleivable. The GÇ£unreal engineGÇ¥ was designed for the game it was named after. (In this specific case unreal tournament 3) You know mr. never used Google, there was a time in fps games that preceded cod, halo, and mag. Where people intentionally blew themselves up by putting a rocket under themselves while simultaneously jumping to further propel themselves in the air. Obviously an age long forgotten lol
