This is what I mean:
I shoot somebody until they only need one more bullet to be killed, and a teammate shoots them and gets the kill. I end up getting +25 as an assist while the one who got the kill gets +50.
Now I am not crying over spilled milk here, I don't mind having kills stolen from me and vice verse, as that is the nature of the beast when it comes to working as a team. You get some, you lose some, it's just how it works. We all steal kills and get kills stolen from us, and this doesn't bother me in the slightest. I am just glad the enemy was taken care of.
However, what I would like to see is more of a dynamic scoring system in regards to Warpoints. Whoever does the most damage, whether it be against a ground troop, a dropship, tank or whatever, should get the points they deserve in terms of how much they participated. As it stands now, Warpoints are completely static, regardless of who actually did more damage.
For those keeping up with every aspect of the game, is their any hint from CCP that this is going to become a reality?
Also as a secondary thought, what about dynamic Warpoints based on who got killed and who did the killing? Meaning, say I kill a high level proto guy, using nothing but the starter kit militia gear. Shouldn't I get some kind of bonus? And shouldn't a proto wearing person get less points for killing me, as basic militia gear guy?
Would be really nice to see the whole system setup in a way that gives everybody exactly what they deserve in terms of Warpoints based on many variables. |

Agree'd points earned should be more based on damage done not who was lucky enough to get the killing blow (I loath to call them kill steels the whole point of the game is team v team so aslong as someone in the team kills them its all cool).
I think 5 points bonus for a killing blow and a split of the 50 points for a kill depending on dmg done to opponent. So if you did 90% dmg but didnt kill you get 40 points and the killer (assuming he was the only other person to damage the enemy) would get 10 points 5 for the killing blow and 5 for his 10% damage.
On a similar note capture/defence assist points should be distributed to anyone in the locality of the objective. The most important job in a capture is ensuring the sitting duck doing the hacking is kept safe from an easy kill. But no reward for that.... |

Dont beat yourself up its not stealing if its contributing to the team effort.
edit, unless you're hiding away waiting for a red to get to 5% and pounce at the last second, then thats not cool. Rushing to the aid of a team mate and get there just intime to place the last headshot is all good. |

a while ago i took out my gunloggi and killed both an enemy gunloggi AND an enemy SAGARIS, however, since my gunner stole BOTH the kills i infact got less SP that match then i did in the previous match where i only killed a madrugar.
also the reason why i get so many tank kills is because I at least have a little bit of intellegence, unlike most AV. Infact once a LAV killed my tank because it was inteligent enough to ambush me from behind while pushing on my tank so I couldn't turn the body of it(railgun turrets turn slow so you actually have to turn the entire tank to actually make it work) |
