At least that's my opinion. Why should I have to use a mouse and keyboard in a console game in order to stay competitive? |

If your better at aiming with a KB/M you should use it, I know the people who can beat me in a gun fight and they use the controller, KB/m can't turn any quicker then the controller and for a lot of things like flying a dropship or driving a tank its unusable or near enough.
Maybe you have a genuine complaint but I think its more likely you are bad and get killed a lot, and the way you live with it is by thinking that the people killing you are using KB/M and that's why they beat you. |

Why should people who own and prefer a mouse/keyboard be burdened with a controller for the sake of your laziness/apathy/miserliness?
People who don't play console games much (like me) aren't very good at using a controller for FPS gameplay. On the other hand, I use a mouse/keyboard to play FPS games on my PC a fair bit. CCP, in their desire to throw a bone to their PC fans who maybe weren't so excited Dust is PS3-only, at least allow us to use the controls we're comfortable with rather than fighting with ones we're not. It's a cool thing for them to do. If you find you also prefer mouse/keyboard and that it makes you better at Dust, then you should stop making threads and start using mouse/keyboard. |

Have you tried mouse and keyboard? Its quite balanced. The turn rate is capped so I cannot do a .2 second 360 or anything and headshot you.
You're prolly just getting owned, because you dont run with a organized squad?
Also, how do you know someone is using a m/kb setup or ds3? HMMMMMM |

there is nothing unfair about it. unfair would be to make it so you HAD to play with a controller and i was free to choose which i wanted to play with. you have every right to go out and get a KB/Mouse just like i had every right to go out and get a usb PS3 style controller to play madden 08 on the pc. KB/Mouse is better suited to FPS games than a controller is. its a simple fact. its also a fact that a controller is FAR better suited to sports games and vehicle control. its my opinion that you should never rule out a customer base for your product. if i were forced to play with a controller the result would be very simple. i just wouldnt play. as far as im concerned dust is unplayable on a controller. as are ALL FPS games. if you think, as i do, that a KB/Mouse is a superior form of control, then dont complain about it and whimper, adopt that which gives you the best opportunity to compete at the highest level possible. |

As far as i can tell the controller to MKB is fine balence wise they are both capped the same i dont care how many people say m/kb is better i hate using the damn things it feels more natural to me to use a controler, as long as ccp does not allow KB/M to have uncapped speed and the like or to make the contoles more refined than the other its working fine your probably justgetting lagged out or suffereing from hit detection, a skilled player can be just as effeicient with a controller than as a skilled player with a KB/M |

no need change it, im a dedicated DS3 guy and i think its balanced so far those occasion when you get poped by a scrambler are just you being their end of the advantage when you mow into a guy and he never once turns to face you thats them on our end of the advantage |

Here's my opinion then.
Go get your own keyboard. Not that in matters, given how in due time, a console controller can still match wits with a keyboard player with enough practice. |

No it doesn't. The KB/M has the same sensitivity as the ds3, i use both and don't notice any difference. The only reason they included KB/M is so the people who are used to playing fps on PC feel more comfortable, but there really is no advantage to using KB/M. |

I think the mouse works better in terms of accuracy and control, but I didn't care for the keyboard. So I use the mouse for shooting, action, weapon swap, looking, while using the DS3 to run, throw grenades, map ect. Only downside of using this setup, can't swap stance or jump or reload unless you take your hand off the mouse. |

And nothing said about those aiming and shooting with the Move Sharpshooter. LOL If that's limited too, could someone using a Move explain how game play is working for them? |

I use mouse/kb for battles, but controller for everything else, as they both work at the same time. As for being unfair, I think with practice a player can be awesome using either interface. |

I happen to have a PC whose keyboard and mouse are compatible with my PS3. Lucky me.
I can safely say that, in spite of the (minor) advantage in precision with mouse aim, I perform better in most situations with my controller.
KB+M gives better aiming precision.
Sixaxis gives better movement control. WASD gives you WAY less directional options.
Both have adantages, both have limitations. Neither lets you spin on a dime, or insta-dodge everything. |

This was beat to ******* death months ago. Its balanced. Not only that, the sensitivity isn't working properly, so some people can't even play properly with it. You're getting better performance with your DS3 than they are with their mice. If you want to complain about something, complain about the maco-capable controllers people are using with Tac rifles. |

sensitivity on gamepads - too slow
100% in dust514 = 25% in bf3 (as example)
CCP just must improve sensitivity, its hard to play with gamepad now, too slow even with 100%
p.s. its only one problem with gamepads, i accept guys who prefer mouse\keyboard, and it will interesting can i beat them or not with my dualshock :) |
