So that players can change their fittings when they need to. Using nano hives does not make up for it because they do not give you the option to change your fittings.
Give players the freedom to change their fittings, instead of forcing them to kill them selves in order to change. |

be able to drop whole bases from space. the thing is, ambush games don't last that long, so players may not see a use for bringing down loads of installations because of it. Players want to bring down installations, and have them last. They don't want to risk losing them in a game that is on a small map, and takes around 10-15 minutes to finish. |

I have been known to suicide just so I can grab an AV fit to deal with some pesky HAV or dropship because there was no depot to swap out at. |

I agree. Although in some ways I like how having only one supply depot gives a central focusing point for the fighting. But 2 would be fine also. |

+1 Kade Ideas: Have a single supply depot located inside a very small building. 2-3 rooms max. Being in an enclosed space will make you vulnerable to grenades. It will also prevent vehicles just blowing depots up. Pros: Ambush now makes sense. There is a strategic position, which is to be taken, and both teams plan to gank the other team and take said supply base. Everyone can change loadout. People will defend and attack the supply base, making the game more dynamic. Factional supply depots / camps will be great for the art department. Cons: Encourages people to avoid taking nanohives / lone wolf. I'll get over it.
Additional thoughts: The small building I described could be an excellent area for CCP to look at allowing fans the tools to design their own installation. Start small. Very small. But allowing Dusters/EvE players to create their own stuff would be really cool.
Edit: That ended up being longer than I thought. |

Actually like quite like this idea, the current "spires" map with the 2 supply depots almost always turns into the 2 teams camping a depot each (I know I'm as guilty of this as anyone)
Dropping it down to 1 though would give a serious tactical advantage to the team holding it and encourage actual combat.

Funny, when the WARRIORS said this 6 weeks ago we were slated and jumped on, now 6 weeks later the OP gets likes for it. Oh how the small minds opinion changes so fast.
EDIT.......... If they change it now, I'm gonna call a tank in and blow em all up. |

No - not having a Depot means you need to change your strategy, and change the game.
Some fights with depots, some without, makes for variation and challenges.

Destroy one, take control and defend the last? I'm pretty sure I saw someone destroying one earlier this morning. |

Yes i want supply depots on all maps. Usually my squad gathers around 1 supply depot with AV weapons and all kinda stuff and make it a fort to defend. It gets even more intense if you destroy the enemy's supply depot and then defend the only 1 remaining on the map. |

I guess this idea has popped up because on 3 of the maps you can drop a tank and roam about freely because ppl have to die to change to AV which uses up clones but also makes AV sitting ducks to normal MI when the tank could be nowhere near where they spawn |
