Since not everyone plans to have a corporation i think the best explanation to move planet to planet singularly would be via the use of shuttles. Think about it:
No skill requirements
No weapons to fight eve players with
Relatively fast
Cheap
Any thoughts or other suggestions of how a merc should travel new eden other than giving everyone and their grandma a war barge? |

Similar to how jump clones work, but without the cost or expense given the advances made in DUST cloning technology. That's a cool idea, but are they going to FedEx you your gear? I don't see why not. They technically do that every time you buy something in a battle anyway. It's not like you can travel to the stations to pick up your stuff.
We're aboard war barges so that would mean there is some kind of market on it and smart players buy in bulk |

Same problem i saw How about the "Jump Clone" idea, and no the gear does not go with you. Buy new gear at new base, but the "Jump" is free. Could always setup a courier contract for the gear left behind for a later date. Then we would have to weigh the upside and downsides of every relocation.
Compared to my idea, it seems needlessly complicated and up to chance |
