This is an example of somebody who is trying to play the game as if it was a final release, not a beta test.
1. In this build they want to test how ambush maps work. Deal with it. 2. People will rage quit from the losing team. So this is what happens when you join a game mid-way or near the end. This is common in pretty much EVERY online FPS game. However, on this note I would suggest that an option to wait for a new game to start should be added, instead of whining about a mechanic they can't fix. 3. Lower skill points. This is how it would be in the final release, so they need to test and balance the SP rewards for kills, wins, etc. Again, this is not your personal playground, this is testing the game. 4. Instability. Finally something regarding actual beta issues. Stability should be something that is worked on. I can only hope that it is a constant work in progress during the entire beta.
You're not supposed to enjoy playing the beta. Not really. You're supposed to be testing the game for flaws and issues so that the developers can release the game with as few bugs and problems as possible. You're supposed to report the problems and issues you are having. |

Their willingness to play through crap can only bring them so far before they just give up, which is starting to happen. You say "deal with it"? I am; I stopped playing and I am posting why.
Your points are all valid, but you're not telling me anything I didn't know. The important part is that despite it all, I stopped playing because it started becoming a chore.
This is true, and it's totally your choice to stop playing. But half of your reasons are asinine. You join mid-way through a game only to be on the losing side? Come on, that's not just a problem with Dust, but the majority of online FPS games out there. People don't quit when they are winning. And they have to start balancing skillpoints at some stage. If they left it so you got truckloads of SP right up until launch, would you stop playing at launch because you no longer got the same SP as you did?
I get that you don't want to play Ambush maps, no problem there, and that stability makes it unplayable for you. These are legitimate reasons to stop playing this particular build. But the way you write it all comes across as whining about how you don't enjoy the game, when the primary focus of a beta is about testing not enjoyment. |
