If you see yourself playing Dust for a while it's probably a good deal, maybe even a really good deal, depending on how much the booster will cost as a final price (I assume the current booster prices may be placeholder).

With the announcement of the new PS3 and the $30 voucher, Sony may put the Merc Pack back on sale, but they may not.

That's not how it worked...The $20 pack is available to anyone on PSN not just PS+ members. The PS+ members have access to the beta for free, but if they wanted to (at the time), could get the Merc Pack for 1/2 off.
