I think there should be lock-on warnings for vehicle drivers/pilots at least to let you know you have a lock on you with swarms incoming. There shouldn't be a warning during the lock-on process, but once you are locked and swarms are literally on the way, I think it would help them to at least know something is on the way. As it is you don't have an idea until you are getting rocked. |

+1 Great idea, I think that this has been mentioned before, but it would also be great if you could deploy some kind of countermeasures. |

won't work with an optical lock system or dumbfire missiles |

Sense swarms lock are passive rather than active I dont think there should be a warning when your getting locked however, I do think a module should be added that alerts the pilot when guided missiles are inbound. |

I was intending to post this same thing last night but forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.
Like others here, I don't think their should be a lock-on warning due to the slow speed of the swarm missiles. It'd give way too much time to dodge them. I was thinking maybe a distance based sensor. When missiles are within, say , 50 meters of impact then you get the warning. Just enough time to be at risk but still able to evade them if you are good enough, but not enough time to evade them without really trying. Something along those lines. |

Well, in one of the videos, when they are being deployed in a droship, a missle is fired at the DS, and you can hear a warning of impact, or proximty. Chaff has already been announced as well. |

Indeed. I'd like to see something similar in ground vehicles too though. That's what i had in mind. Sometimes i'll be cruising around, stop to get out and Boom. Swarms hit with no indication they were even coming. If i knew they were coming i wouldn't have stopped. Dumbfire, of course there should be no warning. But a swarm lock should really have a proximity warning since there is no way to avoid them if you don't even know they are there. |
