Some people argue CCP is a company that cares about it player base and believes in good product to its elite, other argue they are gunning for the mass. Well there is an entire untap market that dust complexity and depth will draw in like moths to the flame. All those stat geeks out there who enjoy things like fantasy football with all those numbers would love dust fitting and corporate section and this would be the ONLY fps that caters to them.
All those tactician and strategist out there dust will provide every level of of RTS from the battlefield, campaign straight up the theater and would be a game would very physical result make it or break these arnt computer generated AI your commanding these are real people using hard earned equipment an entire army of humans at their finger tips. This game is their grandest dream made real they will do anything for it to this is their FPS
All those people tired of intangible fights and repetitive battles in CoD want a game with force, brutal risk and rewards, a very "real" world were a single action matters to an entire empire not just to their personal ego and k/d this is the game they want
All those people who grind though every level of prestige this but want something more this is a game they can dig into for years and never get tired this is their game.
That is the appeal of dust that is the vast untapped market their aiming their not aiming at elites or masses this isn't a cod clone this is a whole new battlefield, MAG trailblazed a path put found that cliff and fell to its death dust takes up its campaign. |

And it interacts with a years old persistent universe with old grudges and rivalries(both NPC and human), an' just wait until Dust rolls into Null Sec (or perhaps someday Wormhole Space?). Dust is rich with potential both in it's features and setting, between Dust and EVE, New Eden really offers multiple styles of game play in a dynamic player driven environment where choices matter and consequences are real (ever done the math on how much "Burn Jita" cost in USD as converted from ISK?).
I haven't found a FPS that held my attention in literally years, until I entered the Dust beta now I play essentially ever day.
As far as I can see Avenger, you're spot on.

Considering titan cost 2400 USD and the fact that jita was ravaged buy the "evil" goons for days it probable exceeded 10,000 dollor. Though im pretty sure one of are resident dust goon cerebel wolf jr I think would know the round about damage that was inflicted |
