I am tired of seeing people in the spawn area not even playing the game damaging a dropship and repairing it. Is something going to be done about this or not? I know we are simply testing the game but still i play competive and when you have squads in the back doing this. They are not contributing anything to the team. Except an occasional orbital. This is a way of cheating and needs to be fixed really soon. I will start exposing anyone I see doing this. As it really annoys me to have my team not even wanna play the game just to sit in the back and farm SP.

CCP will see it in the logs and I trust they will address it.

Let's be honest, those folks will eventually be the best damn repairmen in the land. But, when it comes to getting themselves killed since they have no clue how to shoot a gun, then I say - sweet easy SP when the game releases! I think I'll get started now though, just to spook 'em a bit. I could use some more sniper practice since I'm not very good at it.

WARRIORS feel free to keep talking but sorry you guys don't have a single impressive player. You guys keep talking about ted and his tanks which means that you guys must not use them I assume ARs, because if so your best KDR player is only at 3.52. If any of your guys go against STB's AR specialists they WILL get wrecked. Hope that your guys never face me, GoD-NoVa, kRuCial, and YoUnGcUz in a squad because it won't end well for the WARRIORS.

Back to the OP, the best way to combat the issue is to only give skill points for repairing damage done by the enemy and give zero points for self inflicted damage or teammate damage, they did this in MAG so they could do it in Dust.

Dark cloud & I played witness to boosting on a biomass ambush map against blendeddave & co. last night. You were nowhere to be seen and spamming the map with OBs. Your team lost by a mile, and with the exception of Dave (who was presumably calling in the multiple OBs) you racked up next to no kills.

Pranged your dropship on a tower did we? Very, very careless driving or blatent SP boosting?

To put this disaster somewhat back on track.....

If you want the devs to fix an exploit, exploit it! A lot. It is a BETA and everything should be tested thoroughly including high end fittings and gear. The more people with high end skills that can attain the high end gear and test it, the better. It may take boosting to attain those levels and that's fine with me. How will you know what gear/weapons need to be fixed if nobody is able to get them, use them, and abuse them?? That's my opinion. When it comes time for release, that's a totally different story and i hope it's all been remedied at that point.

On a side note,myself and a couple of our guys joined a battle and we decided to test boosting. During the process we attained 5 orbital strikes ourselves in a shockingly short amount of time. Suddenly i noticed an extraordinary amount of orbital strikes being placed one after the other on the battlefield targeting the rest of my team that was actually playing. I realized there must be other people boosting in the match on the other team. We scoped the area and noticed a suspicious cluster of orange players with a couple of LAVs. We intentionally dumped 4 of our orbitals out in no man's land, so as not to be totally abusing our boost testing to other players' detriment. I don't want to cost someone their expensive proto fits if i'm not really playing the match. That's not cool.

The last orbital? We dropped it directly on the suspicious cluster of orange just for laughs and sure enough, every single kill was a member of a well known boosting clan.

Again, not blaming them for doing it. Drawing attention to boosting is a good thing and they're obviously doing it enough and in a way to draw disdain from the community. To actually use the orbitals attained while boosting to target the enemy is a grey area for me. That's just my own opinion though and why we dumped ours out in the open desert. It's totally up to them to use them how they wish. I don't condemn them for boosting, though there is a difference between exploit testing and exploit abuse. Regardless, both help get things fixed so i'm fine with it either way.

To those that send hate mail to people that are boosting, exploring the maps, flying dropships or driving LAVs out in no man's land, or pretty much any other thing that is seen as not helping the team :

Grow up. Test something. Find bugs and exploits. Find things that are OP or need balancing. Don't just play the game and blame someone else for putting in the work to find those things. If you want a better, balanced, fair game at release... BREAK IT NOW. If you just want to play the game now, better stock up on tissues because a month after release you are going to have many things to cry about because they made it through BETA without enough testing.
