I think i'll always plead in favor of purely DELETING this type of grenades. There's no difference between that and the Remote Explosives from the past build.
I already picture mercs using deadly OHK knives, Contact Grenades and nanohives with an auto-bomb setting off when they fail to ruin everyone at CQC
=> GAME BREAKER.
Every stuff that can OHK or even TwoHK someone without demanding any effort will be abused. That's a fact. Why ? Cause after a week of trying to counter those, most people will think : "Can't beat them ? Join them"

Even the "fused" locus grenades with 400 HP of damage and a range of 4 meters is borderlining OP. Don't get me wrong, I love them and I used to love the Cavity tuckers in the previous builds. I decided to stay away from them both this build, I don't want it to become a pillow for me.
I completely agree that these nades should be nerfed, seriously. Either cut the Tuckers out, let the people settle for the fused ones, or seriously reduse damage and range. I can imagine that a 300/3 setup (damage/range) should be more than enough.
If people only learned to **** the nades and estimate time/range, in short: Use skill when throwing their nades, we could have a great nade game. I've blown myself up over 50 times learning the timeing of the standard nades. i've gotten houndres of sweetly, skillfully placed nade kills wich is a lot seweeter than the somewhat cheap direct hit kills from previous builds.
DO WE REALLY WANT A GAME WERE DIRECT HIT NADES IS THE BE-ALL OF ANY CQC ENCOUNTER? I DON'T!!!
Range isnt the problem at all. Even worse it cleary says "hey, rush the guy and just screw him with your undodgable grenade" People already complain that Zerg rush will probably be OP. It will be even worse with those.
All we'll see will be rush battle ending up at close range with ninja knife mercs, close range nade. Like Braveheart lol.
Okay, i'm exagerating a bit but i feel like doing that today ^^ |

Just like think about it. Seriously.
suit nerf is a good idea. It helps to avoid replacing skill by skillpoints. Blow on impact nades is a very different deal. It's about a playstyle that will for sure ruin gunfights at some point. |
