the current vehicle control(PS3). are subpar at best. they are not inline with driving at all. Using the same analog for directional as well as forward and reverse is a very weak setup. Really it feels very awkward.
My suggestion.
that analog is fine for turning. Gas should be a separate button X or L1 possible and Brake and reverse could be Square or L2. And even a Handbrake possibly for tight turning or quick 180., Triangle perhaps. I know the handbrake would only be really be available for the LAVs and other faster vehicles.
I remember a thread before about possibly making the Main Turret on a tank not operated by the driver. if that comes about dual analogs would be great for Tank Driving then. Left Track and Right Track
well any thoughts on this

Agree on all counts. Glad you didn't try and **** with my dropships.
Note, LAVs already have hand brakes. Try pressing L1 in.a corner |

I find the Dropship control to be manageable.
I also find Tank controls to be acceptable.
with the LAVs however, as soon as get up to a reasonable speed, you lose any semblance of control. I have noticed the LAVs control better on pavement than on ground, which is a nice touch.
The best way for me to describe LAV driving controls would be 'too twitchy'
I think that part of the problem I have is that with acceleration and steering on the same analog stick, it can create some odd steering secenarios. |

Yep, I must say I have no problems with operating vehicles like tanks and dropships, but LAV, yep if you just accidently tap the analog stick you will find yourself flying an helicopter instead of driving a car! |

Yes! Please change the vehicle controls!
They are all terrible.
Dropship is okay. I can handle it. It can still be much better. R stick should be yaw only, not pitch. Also if I want to look around and turn my head, it shouldn't move my ship. |

I agree, the acceleration, braking & reverse should be on different buttons, not all on the same stick. It just doesn't feel good to control the vehicles like that. The face buttons & L/R1 are not mapped to anything. |
