Could we please have a statement from CCP on how we should handle other testers that abuse known broken mechanics in the game?
I'm not talking about overpowered or such, but things like:
- Flux grenades used to kill people(esspecially inside vehicles)
This also seems to be the case with (unclarified):
- using a weapon that is known to have unlimited range while all others in the class do have limited range (seems to be the case with the gurista forge sniping infantry over the map)
- SP farming with crashing and repairing |

As far as I see it during beta CCP should allow it as much as possible. There might be one main method of exploiting these weaknesses that most people use but some creative person might find another way to do it that wasn't before known to CCP. Using this knowledge CCP would be able to stop it from happening on a wider spectrum of methods rather than just the one that everybody does because they heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard from a friend it's the cool thing to do.
At the end of the day beta isn't just to make sure the stats are equal enough to be fair, bugs don't happen all the time and your character doesn't miraculously fall through the floors of the map. And it's not like they're going to be able to do it after release either. You're playing beta. Chill and let wrong things be wrong |

Stomp down on it. That way they will find new ways to abuse the system and you can stomp down on these, too. Come release you will have fixed as many loopholes as possible. |

I use Flux grenades a lot, 85% are duds 5% kill people, 10% work as intended. This is important stuff for CCP to know, having a policy against using this stuff in a beta makes 0 sense. |

That's not what I meant. I meant they should fix it. We will find new loopholes and then they can fix these, too. If we just keep using those established exploits, it would not help. |

Let them do it, without fear of punishment, until you have discovered the cause and fix whatever it is that allows it to occur immediately. This allows those people to now move on and find new problems that need to be addressed. |

I agree with this provided the beta testers in question are actually testing, which includes reporting their findings to CCP! Otherwise it's not testing the beta anymore it's just trying to use an exploit for advantage (of course this applies more to the 'crash and repp' driving than to throwing a bugged grenade. But in either case beta testers should be providing feedback on the behavior of the game client) |

Well I still can't find the flux grenades on the To-Do List in the Bugs section.
But what really happened in the specific cases I encountered the player abusing the flux nades, was that he was fluxing me out of my LAV whenever I encountered him in two games in a row. This does feel like someone exactly knowing what he was doing and I haven't found a thread or anything about flux grenades with his opinion yet. |
