To clarify, in this build the way restocking works is that every single item in a persons dropsuit is added by the number X that you want to restock. This inevitably leads to waste as at times you simply do not need more than one or two items to be restocked at that moment. In order to get to those specific items you need to navigate more menu options, go into edit, and point and restock to each individual item in order to avoid waste.
The E3 build of the game employed a much more elegant means of restocking. In that build of the game when a person restocked to number X then it wouldn't add to the amount of any of the items in your dropsuit that were already beyond X. To me this method of restocking made sense and was a far more efficient means of restocking different vehicle / dropsuit fittings than what is currently in the game. If I needed 20 of dropsuit Y then me restocking that dropsuit to 20 would mean that I could use that dropsuit exactly 20 times barring other dropsuit fittings using the same equipment. That meant that if I had two of the same module fitted to the same dropsuit, me restocking to say number Y, the module would be fitted to 2Y because the system knew that I'd be using 2 of said item at every individual spawn. And of course, as mentioned, if I had already had 45 of a certain item on a fitting that I was restocking to 20 then that item would be ignored on restock.
In summary the E3 build (or at least the build we had that preceded the increase in prices to vehicles) version of restocking was quicker and more cost effective than whatever means of restocking is currently in the game, and I'd like to see a revisit to the old method. |

On the plus side, it makes it really easy to check the total price of a fit to calculate loss, but overall, the E3 build's restocking was better. EDIT: I love the idea of having both like many below suggest. |

I would like away to switch between the two. I could check price of fit and stock my main fits with current restock, then restock variants with e3 style.
So, if I make a fit with shotgun/smg, another sniper/smg, and another swarm/smg, then make versions flux, av, and locus. I could stock main fit to 50 and sniper/swarm fits to twenty five with current restock, then restock other 6 variations with e3 style restock. I would have 100 valid fits, but 9 versions each usable 25-50 times. This currently takes some playing around in fitting screen, and buying items individually. |

There should be both. A "restock up to" and "buy entire fitting" or something like that. |

There has been numerous threads about this and they've been generally ignored by CCP. Yes, the new restock is just usable, so what I basically do is to restock each item separately on a single fit. |

While it would be nice to have the option for both I think the E3 version is the better if we had to choose, it cuts down time between battles wasted on re-stocking |

There really should be both options. 1 option should say "restock to minimum quantity", another should say "restock all". |

Tbh i think i prefer this version, yes if you use completely different stuff per suit then thats easier, but when you have quite a few suits with some of the same gear on each it changes things, atleast if 2 suits are sharing a gun i know if i restock 2 suits 10 times each i can die 10 times eith each whereas if i restock 2 to 10 each it changes things. That still isnt so bad but if they have a module or 2 im common it ends up being easier this way |

Liked, quoted so people know what I liked, and +1ed.
This feature made dealing with the slow market and fitting freezes bearable... now I have to remove half my fitting because I got my gun via salvage and have 50 of my module due to running through starter equipment...
Bring back the flat number restock system! |
