I think it would be fun and crazy... COD / Modern warfare players may take fancy to the title, as well ...
Everyman for himself; with vehicles; in a well sized map
I think it should be a mode that is, a non-corpmode... That you can get skill points but not have to spend any ISK to purchase drop-suits with.
That way, it could help the balancing out gap between noobs and advanced players.
It breaks the common routine of needing to be goal orientated.... LETS YOU JUST KILL EVERYTHING.
Many gamers like deathmatch... look at COD(People play that same style OVER AND OVER AND ON THE SAME F^&*%&$ MAPS) .
Most importantly it breaks the real routine of Story dialogue, contracts, co-op forced gameplay. Routine can be boring and become condescending when its the same thing over and over... Having the deathmatch in place would allows a side step break from that routine... An have a fast paced first person shooter. ONLY one will be the best! |

Condescending means.. Repetitive.
I think it would be an awesome, non-contract mode. I believe at E3 they mention they were going to have a instant battle, game that isn't really contracted games but... Just something to jump into and start playing ... As like what we have seen in the beta.
I think a deathmath, non-contract, non-isk wasting mode would be fun. It would be a break from the real portion of the game, Strategic FPS... An a fun run-and-gun mode.
Besides new people would be joining the game constantly... Those new players will have a MASSIVE skill gap. Having a deathmatch mode. That everyone could play would help integrade noobs with the advance. Being able to still acquire skill points, but not waste any isk. |

Free-for-all would break that condescending feeling you'd get with the game. The game has that sense of condescend... `If you screw up... You spending chedda for it.
Deathmatch would be the `breathe of fresh air... The break in the redundant, routine in life... To play on closed maps off of eve or a arena on eve...
Alll Just so... YOU CAN KILL EVERYONE STANDING IN YOUR WAY!!!!! No worries.
But i understand the animosity of it, some of you may be too slow or not got the ninja reflexs like me... TO toss a gernade on fridge... Gotta be ninja to have that style.

Great to see some of this enthusiasm towards free for all... I've seen its been already appointed that Deathmatch may be a small past time into Dust514. For all that acclaim, I'm not a OCD --err-- COD person. COD sucks ... I like Battlefield. I often wish Battlefield had a Deathmatch as they did implament a standard Team-Deathmatch.

I am not worried about dying in battle. I just think, the game should have a deathmatch. When you die in game... You have that small, (*&% I HAVE TO buy more dropsuits. I only buy a few at a time... An it gets real tedious and condescending to need to STOP and buy some more dropsuits. The deathmatch will be a more instantaneous, quick gameplay... You wont have to constantly get aggravated from losing those points.
@Thomas COD sucks... Battlefield is better but I think Battlefield should have a Deathmatch... Not just squad DM or Team Deathmatch.
@Anyone else who gots a problem with understanding the word condescending. I posted a link to merriam-webster dictionary. Feel free to understand its definition or attempt to at least. If Merriam-webster can't help you, I fear no one can.
They also have a children dictionary, as well.

@Xavier -- My remarks in my very first post... condescended the topic/idea of Dust514 -- It deprived the aspect of Dust514. It deprived the superiority of it.
I used it correctly -- I just wanted people to try and troll it. To see if they'd do it elsewhere and guess what They did! .
Got a chance to report them. So many trolls on a closed beta... I wonder which critic-game site they crawled out from.
Deathmatch is essentially a great idea and the style of gameplay in Dust514... It would have its very own lil originality to it.

Either way, Deathmatch... Makes a brilliant gameplay -- Arena would be good to.... One-on-One ... Go all out ninja.
But as I can not stress enough; Free-for-all would just be something players can do if they get bored of the complex strategy needed in game... As I already said, there is a strict order to this game... That order is -- If you die you lose skrilla.
Militia tanks are still expensive. Even as they are flawed. It would be cool if I could just go to deathmatch.
An tutorial some people on how to decimate other people with just tanks. Teach them the basics -- If you get in front of my tank I will shoot you, in my ghetto militia ride.
Its an essential part of First person shooters. Death match. |
