Just finish the New blog todate and it out to take a look at. You can find it at http://dustoffnews.blogspot.com/2012/09/dust-514-faction-warfare.html#more
take a read and post your Faction Warfare thoughts here.
Will CEOs choose a side for their Corp? Will members push them if not? Will your Corp join the side that offers the most in Contracts? or Will you just chill in Hi Sec?
Here Is Some IRC INFO that was not allowed to be posted due to NDA:
ZionShad: Most planets in low sec FW are player own at this poiint so is it safe to say DUST mercs could own them as well ZionShad: or to say there would be no NPC contracts for them [CCP]Nullarbor: nobody owns planets at the moment [CCP]Nullarbor: FW has sov in systems [CCP]Nullarbor: planet ownership will be a new seperate thing [CCP]Nullarbor: once we turn on the new FW + dust mechanic, it won't be specifically dust corps or mercs owning them. [CCP]Nullarbor: it will be the miltias taking ownership
I stated the info given to me from a FW Aillance CEO here was the answer to that.
[CCP]Nullarbor: oh they mean they have POCO's at the planet [CCP]Nullarbor: which is slightly different [CCP]Nullarbor: they control the taxing of goods being imported / exported from the planet
So we as Merc wont be able to own Planets in FW but we could still take player contracts to take them over for players if they choose
Iron Wolf Saber wrote:For those of you who dont understand
militas are non military personell in new eden, thus anyone that isnt army or navy units, IE us. We're currenlty in 'rookie' corporations atm and can join the milita corp, also corps can pledge loyalty to the miltia corp and enroll thier entire corp in provided they havent pissed that faction off... yet.
FW planets will never be owned by players but you can fight for the empires to help them take over those planets.
This is what you can call, Null warfare light. MCCs and Barges and buildings isk and items are npc provided generated.
When full conquest mode launches however you will have to field your own MCCs, null and the contract payouts.
You can see where null warfare gets prohibitively more expnesive than FW. money doesnt magically appear in null. |

Okami Tok wrote:Careful on what you post you are under an NDA do not forget that. Not being rude just saving you from losing your account permanently and never being able to play Dust come launch.
I'd like to see what you beleive is Close to being NDA breaking. All my info is from public sites and knowledge. The only thing I think your talking about is this .http://dust514.wikia.com/wiki/Districts
Thanks for the concern though and looking out for other Merc's |

Parson Atreides Questions (speculation welcome as long as it's noted as such):
1. If my Dust merc is Gallente, can I join, say, the Amarr faction and fight for them or do I need an Amarr merc?
You can be any race and join any Empire to fight for.
2. If I'm in a corp, for the moment let's just say it's ZionTCD (working with Gallente apparently) for the sake of argument, will I only be allowed to accept any contracts that help the Gallente war effort?
Only if they are FW related. If its Player own Planets then that is different thing and wont be effected
3. If ZionTCD does, in fact, decide to help Gallente, will the corporation as a whole only be allowed to accept contracts that help the Gallente war effort?
Yes |
