I got a bit ballzy and ran up to an enemy tank in scout armor and jumped on top and rode it around for a while, jumping around and actin' all crazy, occasionally shooting an enemy from on top of their own tank, until someone inside finally got pissed off and got out and shot me. I love ticking people off like that. ANYWAY, while I was up there I got to wonderin'.... why is there no means for me to damage this thing from up here? There should be some sort of exhaust vent or SOMETHING up there that could be exploited by a well placed grenade! So, what do you guys think? Should we be able to damage a tank from on top, destroy it outright, not at all?
ps: To the tanker who I was pestering, sorry about that. I was just having too much fun. |

I KNOW! Dude, I feel you on that one! I've had that happen to me at LEAST 4 times today alone! No one thinks "Hey, let's hack this so we can repair it and get lot's of points and then even have a vehicle to use!" |

Agreed.
Anyway, to the original point, regular infantry right now serves little purpose in a tank fight after their grenades are exhausted. If instead you could get on top and hit "O" to take off a decent portion of health then tank battles would be way more cooperative. As it is right now, anyone without a swarm launcher is just a decoy. |

Nice one! You'd have to have squad members nearby to protect your tank from hackers then! Ok, how about having the option to either drop in grenades for moderate damage or hack the tank which takes considerably longer? |

Actually, I've been pushing for just that. Un-nerf the tanks, increase the ammo and capacity for swarmers, add the ability for infantry to damage tanks, make swarm missiles in a way that they can be shot down by tank turrets and light weapons fire, and make damage zones on vehicles.
Tread/tires/thrusters/turrets=lowHP Main cannon=medHP Hull=highHP
This way an HV/LV/Dropship without treads/thrusters/tires can be an emplaced weapon, one without guns can be an armored unarmed transport, and a hull with hp left can be used as a temporary bunker to recover health. |
