2. Pay 2 win - Nope, I am not talking just AUR, but ISK pay2win as well. You kill me simply because you have the better, more powerful and accurate weapon than I. Not because of skill.
3. Freakish adoption of controls - Somehow you managed to overcome the horrible aiming of Dust 514, and was able to keep your aim on me 100% of the time. Either by mouse aiming, PS Move aiming, or just because you have the ability to adapt easily to bad controls on the PS controller. So either a hardware advantage, or a freak-of-nature advantage.
4. Super armor/shields - You played the game for 2,000 hours more than I, therefore you have proto level shields and armor, making it impossible for me to make even the slightest dent no matter how little lag and how much aiming skill I have.
So before you think you are all great at this game, consider the previous 4 variables. Most likely, you are only an average player with an artificial advantage in one way or another. Real players use militia gear, suffer from bad lag, and somehow manage to do fairly well.
1-4 applies to everybody.
You just sound like every other whiner who complains when they die.
"oh, it was lag!" "oh, he's using a proto suit!" (which hardly give much of an advantage anymore) Actually, now that I think about it, 2 and 4 are the same thing! Paying for the better/ supposedly more powerful gear. So really, it's just 3 things you're complaining about.
Ok, controls aren't great, but we ALL have to deal with the same controls. ADAPT!
Although I'll give you credit on your last paragraph....you're right. Half the players that think they're good, are just nub farmers. ![Blink](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_blink.png) |

When a FPS has poor controls I don't play it. No way I am going to play Dust 514 if the controls stay this poor: I am not a masochist. When bad design ruins the experience I leave.
What don't you like about the controls? I agree, they're not great... but I don't think they're THAT bad.
What specifically don't you like?
I personally can say: That moving the crosshairs isn't smooth. (because of that tiny "deadzone", when you start to move the stick) Also, the R2 button, isn't responsive when trying to tap to quick switch to secondary weapon. Thirdly, IMO, the melee should require a hard "click" of R3. As it is now, I sometimes accidentally melee when trying to aim in the middle of a gun fight. This is because of the pressure sensitive controls. Currently it only requires a "partial press", it'd be nice if it needed the full "click" to melee. |
