Also, you obviously haven't been present for the EVE forum discussions of why Gatling lasers are dumb from a design standpoint, and how they should be modified in-game. |

Is there any word yet on what lasers will be? Personally I'm hoping they're like the sentinel beams from Halo and have continues beam fire. |

Laser rifles, scrambler rifles, plasma cannons, and flaylock pistols are coming. I have no idea what most of these are, but I'm excited.
Other stuff is coming too, like 2 new dropsuit classes (crusader and pilot), and a kittenload of team-buffing enemy-debuffing modules are coming.
For a glimpse at laser rifles, watch the EVE Fanfest 2012 Dust 514 "Immortal Clone" trailer, a heavy uses it around 1:56

Crusader? Haven't heard of that one but I have a pretty good idea of what Pilot does.
All I'm waiting for is the Command Dropsuit.

Crusader = command. Sort of. The real command dropsuit is the MCC, and the crusader is for squad level command. Seems to have aura style bonuses, based on what people have seen on Buckingham. |

Command dropsuit has been replaced by crusader suits, and the buff/debuff modules are for them only. |
