I've had this problem, mine is related to voice chat. As soon as I activate voice chat either by, joining a squad, Joining a game, or activating UVT in one of the chat channels, I get the internal error. If you turn off voice chat you'll be able to play fine, however you won't be able to talk OR hear anyone else.
The only way to fix this is to use a different slot and create a new character.
I emailed CCP with detailed bug checking and they never got back to me. Don't expect them to respond about the internal error here either, for some reason they are very tight lipped about this error. Either tight lipped or they have no idea how it happens. |

I even replaced my hard drive because someone told me internal errors may be a sign of hdd failure on the horizon. The problem is definitely on their end with their server.
Hopefully it's a problem with this build only, because after launch I'm gonna be pissed if I buy aur with a character and have to start over with a new character due to this bug. |

I have found that if i expect my mic to work i have to start ps3>Turn on mic> Then start game. If i turn my mic on after the game has loaded, it won't work. I get a grey mic icon and can hear people i just can't speak to them. I have now made it my routine to be sure my mic is on and connected to ps3 before i load Dust.
As long as i do it in that order, once in the game i can turn the mic off and back on as much as i want without issue.
It's possible you start your ps3 and load the game and then turn on your mic. Your comms don't work so you close the client and restart with an alt and since your mic was already on before loading the client this time, it works. Obviously i have no clue of your typical start up routine and you may very well have a more complex issue. Just sharing my issue and what works for me to get around it. Good Luck!
I actually tried that order, it still didn't work. My internal error is definitely linked to activating any voice comms. For instance if I ever join a squad I hear the voices for about 1 second then I get the error. This is 100% of the time. If I activate a UVT I hear the voices for 1 second and then I get the error 100% of the time. Same with joining a game.
I once joined a game with chat off. I turned chat on and it was fine until I clicked activate voice for squad then I got the error.
I can reproduce the error at will, but for some reason CCP won't respond to me about it aside from the generic email about turning on voice chat and turning off tap to talk. |
