so I decided to splurge and leave behind my all militia days, so i decided caldari assault should shield tank but when I looked at the stat and price deference between assault type I and type II I was a little put off there are some clear differences but they seam pretty similar except one focus on a mix of armor and shield the other is complete built to shield so why the 6000 isk price difference does any one here know?
so my question is what the reason behind the price margin between type I and type II, neither is particular better than the other? |

Well, the reason is because outfitted properly the Type-II is a superior platform. I've been running both Type - I and Type - II fits and I can say that the Type - II allows the user to move quicker and there by increasing their survivability while still allowing them to strike hard.
The Type - I comparatively after being fitted moves a tad bit slower but has more HP. The differences really come out during play-style. I have my Type - I playing a support a role and my Type - II is an aggressive build set up for taking hot spots. I find this to be a better set up and I rock a 3.5 KDR and easily 4:1 or greater if I have a decent random in my squad that has nanohives, injectors, etc. |

Type 2 is clearly more aggressive, once you have it fitted out. |

I've been loving armor tanking in my assault so the Type-I is definately for me. Dual reps and my armor almost recharges faster that my shields. Definately gives people I fight a WTF moment. |

Yeah I've been using the type two with the shotgun and two basic armor repair modules. It's crazy how fast they'll heal your armor. |
