a few times now I've had this one happen and while the other glitches annoy me (invalid loadout glitch, lock-up with the quick battle glitch), this one really concerns me. After a completed match, from the post-match scoreboard, I exit to the merc quarters, and then the loading screen just runs perpetually. I give it a significant amount of patience (more than 5 minutes, maybe 10), and then I have to just try and quit the game through the PS3 system menu.
THAT's when it gets bad. As the PS3 tries to quit the game (which is stuck trying to exit a match and enter the merc quarters) it gets completely locked up and will not power off in any way other than disconnecting the power supply. Obviously this is really bad, and upon reboot, the system needs to run a diagnostic to check for corrupted system/files or whatever, which takes a really long time, but more than anything I'm just afraid that it will eventually knock something out of whack with my system (break my console.) |

I have just had the same thing happen. First time since the recent hot fix, which is a shame as I thought it was starting to feel a lot more stable.
The other games I've played today have all been bug free. But this one completely locked up the PS3. The only thing different that I'm aware was that I was standing on a nanohive when the game finished, even when the "You Won" message came up, in the background the resupply messages were still popping up.
Did you have the same circumstances?
TBH I'm reluctant to recreate the nanohive ending, just in case! |

I see this as well. I've had game locks almost daily, but the complete system locks happen less frequent. I did have one happen yesterday and it freaks me out. I've had two total system locks happen and both happened during game play. The power button does nothing and the power cord has to be pulled for anything to reset again.
I lost my launch PS3 to MW3 disc searches and I don't want to lose this new one to a beta glitch. CCP please fix. |

I'v had two a bit different scenarios of the like:
While exiting a finished match, game gets stuck on the loading screen with round animation on bottom right. The animation is running.
After that:
A) The system won't respond in any way. Select button ,start button, PS button, even power switch, nothing works. Have to pull the system out of power socket.
I've had three instances of this.
B) Game controls won't work. But, PS button works and allows to quit game. That ends up in a blank screen with total lock and no response. Also in this scenario power must be disconnected.
This has happened once. |

All of the above for me. I have had to pull the power twice now. All in the last 2 days. After battles mostly...sometimes right at the end other times just upon getting back to merc quarters.

I find that on one map it bugs and PS3 freezes the most including this bug.
Is it the map with 5 objectives.
Is that the map you are coming out of? |

Had this happen again last night. This time I was able to use the power button to shut the system down. Normally I have to plug the plug. It's possible that I caught it soon enough to where the power button worked.
Either way, I may wait to play again until the next update. I have concerns. |

That hasn't been necessarily true for me...doesn't seem to be any real rhyme or reason to it happening, other than since the last hotfix.

HERE here , yes that map is a killer it is alwAYS freezing half way through , you know when i have loads of points and kills and hacks racked up .
Yet on a deathmatch where my side is losing bad never freezes.
VERY FRUSTRATING , especially as i dont like deathmatches |

Mostly this is the map that freezes my system yes. I believe it has happened on other maps but this is by far the worst lag/freeze culprit.
Could be the system nearing its limitations graphics/bandwidth wise?
