So does everyone think the tanks are fixed now or could a build of this type possibly be the end of tankers in general? This game is supposed to have an element of ISK invested in order to destroy ISK or ISK destroyed vs. ISK lost. I know we have some very intelligent people on the forums and some who are not the sharpest tools in the shed. So these questions are for the more intelligent people I play this game with. How much ISK would it cost to destroy a Black OPs HAV with a build of this type? On top of that how much ISK does it cost to invest in a Black OPs HAV? What is the ration between them? Approximately how many less people would have gone tanker if he stats were the same at the beginning of the build as they are now? Lastly, who thinks it is fun to have an update of this severity without a SP wipe? Yes we are Beta testing but there are better ways to limit the insistent whining, balance the game, and to make the Beta fun and fair for everyone. |

Black ops and Marauder are both broken with only a slight stat increase compared to standard. But isk for a standard, if the tank is designed well enough, and the driver knows what he's doing, could probably be 200k-600k. The price being divided across 2-4 players. The nerfs were slight nerfs, that made a big difference because people weren't using tanks properly to begin with. If people use tanks with their infantry, or to take out enemy tanks, they are still worth the prices they are on the market for. It'll just attract a different crowd of people now, and the old crowd will ***** about it.
Ok but whats the point of going Black OPS HAV or Marauder then? Does the difference in ISK justify its price? |

So its not a new build? Hmm... sure does feel like it. Maybe you should have looked at what was in the quotation marks of my title... Like I said intelligent people please respond. Please respond only if you can understand the sarcasm and irony of my title post at least. |

I am trying to get reply's to the questions. If I wanted a bunch of trolling I would have made a post about STB or Bad Furry or something stupid like that. |

I am just trying to see what other people think of the hot update and discuss what other people would do to balance it out. Like do people think that the higher priced tanks are better? Personally cost wise I would roll with a well fit standard tank any day. The cost just doesn't seem to add up.

Well I'm sorry if I have offended anyone. I just have been reading through the forums since the first build and I hate it when someone asks a serious question and then it get derailed into some pointless discussion about something else. |

Hmmm... Well how many tanks would you roll with per squad? And does anyone know if spider tanking was nerfed at all? I didn't see anything in the notes about it so I would assume not.

Well I tested shield tanking last build. This build was devoted to maxed out armor tanking and testing maxed pg/cpu fits for it. Armor spider tanking has been really successful for me but finding the other armor spider tanker to roll with has not been so successful. A crew of three logis with maxed out remote rep in a tank with nothing but armor plates and resistance has been very effective as well. Not to mention the amount of WP you get when you rep it with a defend command order on it. Now with active repping it has been much more challenging due to the requirements that take away from the armor pool. |
