I suspect many don't know, in Dust 0 is the highest sensitivity, not 100.

Only a minute? That explains why I didn't hear you - I was in the bathroom for the last 10 minutes.

Think of the 0-100 scale as a % reduction in sensitivity. 0% applying no effect and so on. I play with a DS3 and it makes a difference, can't speak to how it effects KB/M users though.

Really? I originally had mine set to something like 60/30, which I didn't like much, so I decided to turn both down to zero. Seemed to slow me down (or at least I thought), but this would explain why it is a bit tricky for me to aim in slow, precise, increments when following somebody while shooting.

Gonna have to try 100/100 tonight to see if it helps my precision aiming at all. Thanks for the tip! Wonder why CCP has to do some things nearly opposite to every other shooter on the PS3, like vehicle controls, weapons wheel selection and obviously, the aiming sensitivity adjustments.

well you're kind of right.... it definately makes sniping a lot easier (you can manage the movement easier).... but all other responsiveness suffers by turning it down...

The problem thats causing the control issues (regardless of sensitivity) is the catchment of the stick moving in the first place....

It's almost like finding the biting point on a clutch....

Just try moving the stick very slowly in game,,,, and see at which point you start moving,,, it's atrocious--- never seen a game that responds so slowly in that respect,,,, as soon as they've dealt with that, the controls will be great just like any other game

 Simple effect it causes.....

Normally you would subconsciously calculate the amount you need to move the stick for a desired effect

Currently takes (lets say) 1/4th diameter to initiate movement to distance 1 in 1 second,,,, then moving stick 2/4s diameter doesnt move you to 2 (which in most games it would),, but rather to 3 or 4 (depending on sensitivity settings.... the slower movement on low sensitivity means you need to move the stick more per distance,,, therefore keeping it closer in line with the initial stick command to move which means the response change isnt as great, making it feel easier to control)...

Unsure about mouse controls,,, but as soon as initial response is sorted out it'll be working fine

After testing, 100 means 100, 0 means 0. There is no opposite affect here. Slower means 0 faster means 100.

 Welcome to July!

@ Sha Kharn... 0 gives you the fastest turn speed, 100 gives you the slowest turn speed.

And all this time, I remember having arguments with ppl in assault suits, who said scout was too fast, and can't be tracked even with controller set to highest sensitivity. I'd say they're wrong, and they'd continue to argue...now I know why. They prob had controller set to 100.
