Sounds like someone is mad their lololololololsolopwngodmodemobile isn't a solopwngodmodemobile anymore. Speaking as someone who runs an online game, and works closely with the content devs, they generally know what they are doing with new content and how it will affect the already implemented content.
They don't just decide "I'll make X item that fits on Z suit" without considering how it will interact with Y item that also fits on Z suit, so on and so forth. With new content, they will usually be able to get something pretty close to how it should be when they create it if they're thinking about the larger picture (they usually are). Then it will get some closed testing, possible tweaks, open testing, more tweaks if needed, etc.
I'm not saying content developers are perfect, but they're certainly not nincompoops who have no idea how future content will impact the mechanics of current gameplay. |

Um, yes, yes they were OP. When four people are spamming proto swarms at a Gunnlogi simultaneously and only manage to knock the shield down to -maybe- half (being generous), they are OP (don't even get me started on the nigh invincible Sagaris). When people that only manage to go 5-8 on foot go 29-0 in their solopwnmobile despite half their enemies switching to AV gear, yes, they are OP.
I haven't logged in to test this new patch, so it is possible they went too far the other way, I can't say one way or the other personally without trying it myself. However, the boards look like a giant whinefest from tankers who can't god mode anymore, and that's all. Your posts, and most of the others, appear to be extreme exaggeration and filled with delicious tanker tears.
And if they did go too far on adjusting tanks, they will promptly adjust again, just as they did in correcting their previous tweaks to AV weapons. So calm down and wait a while, just like people who didn't sit in god mod machines did while waiting for this patch. I am confident CCP will not leave a prominent gameplay mechanic broken forever, if it is indeed broken at all. |
