I have been experiencing this a bit more often the past two days. It was a problem; then it went away for awhile -- now it's back. The moving around does help. A good sniper doesn't stay still very long anyway! |

I think it is a latency issue...
I'm there - I think latency is the biggest issue with this at this point. Leading targets is definitely a factor (as it should be). |

lag is very slight so sometimes takes a lead shot to nail the suckers. so its like threading a needle at 200m with a sewing pin and a rubber band. you have to judge left or right and hope you guess it correct
also the scope sometimes lies to you gives a suit reading and a icon but the enemy has gone to ground using cover thats what i think you guys are seeing, also a misty map is a pain gives the same suit reading and icons but when you bang the trigger your hitting dirt as they are behind cover scope is not seeing. But what about opponents which are not moving? Lead doesn't make sense on a stationary target. Are you suggesting they are actually behind cover but the image isn't registering at that distance?
Latency could explain why no hit. If they move down behind cover, but my client doesn't register it fast enough, the kill will not happen since it is on the server. My client is behind in that case. Not saying this IS what is happening, but it is one possibility. |
