Rather than having solely nova knives as melee weapons, I've been thinking of what else there could be!
So, I came up with this.
It's a whip-esque weapon, a chain or something perhaps? It has a longer range than a knife, but not too long of a range. Maybe a meter or 2? It would be used to counter scouts in CQC. You would use it the same way you use a knife, however, upon impact it would do a significantly lower amount of damage, and slow their movement speed a great deal, making them an easier target.

I would stick more with like a Nova-short sword or something. EVE is a realistic universe. Yeah I know, theres stuff like huge space ships and plasma weapons, but EVE is a dark, brutal, realistic universe |

It'll stop the retards from going in to solo combat. If they're in a group, you choose between whipping him, or killing the other guys shooting at you. If he goes in solo, he's got no chance, like it should be. As of now, they run in solo, win vs 16 then leave with 16/0. |

Scout suit is by no means durable.
handling a scout suit to survive long enough for 16 kills in knowing their limits on the fit. My tanked advanced suit most times cannot survive long enough to kill that many people. |

That's because your tank advanced suit can't move faster than bullets. |

Also, their speed isn't meant for 16 on 1 combat, it's meant for flanking, scouting, and getting to objectives before everybody else. |

Yeahh. It's not the full potential of speed tanking. 9. something m/s isn't all that good for trying to out dance a GEK.
I need my prototype to try that out in this build.
But I wouldn't be against a new melee weapon, but something that web grenades will (i hope) do to suits in melee doesn't sound good imo. |

I support webifer grenades and more permenates AoE wrbifer drops.
I think there could be more melee weapons that would fill the side arm slot.
One could have a longer lunge/distance but a narrow arc(energy sticker/short spear) a shorter lunge but with a wide arc (nova tomahawk maybe) Higher damage but narrow arc ( nova short hammer) Higher damage but shorter lunge (no clue what this could be) Jack of all trades shortsword.
These would each have higher values of distance arc and damage because they would fill the side arm slot but compared to one another they are lower or higher in one area. |
