Many people have posted new information on the patch coming "at the end of the month" and it seems like this is going to be a big deal, perhaps even bigger than the move to Precursor. Correct me if I'm wrong, of course, but it just seems like people aren't getting very excited about this. When they announced the Precursor, people were pretty excited and made **** tons of posts on speculation on the announced changes, etc. but I don't see much discussion this time around, which I consider to be bad thing. Thoughts? |

Basic thing here is, devs got the more complicated problems out of the way, getting on SISI, corp vs corp battles, missiles, things that take whole new models to create not they are moving onto "Lets populate the game with the everything else" |

There were few problems on this current build
1. Invalid fits 2. Disconnection 3. Unable to join games at times 4. Too much reboot to the ps3 5. Vehicles are the gods 6. Hit detection is bad for some players 7. Grenades don't explode at times 8. Lag 9. Frame rate drops at times 10. Too much pray and spray by dancing and left and right. 11. The infamous random spawn that most player hates
The list can go on. So, it's not few.
I'm excited, but it's better to wait before saying anything. I don't want to expect anything and get disappointed in the end. |

I feel as though TiMe has the mentality that is prevelant in most peoples' minds. With what was seen this build as far as issues, many people don't want to jump towards a conclusion just yet. I am extremely excited to see what this next build brings. |

I'd wager this, especially under the circumstances. Played the beta pretty continuously in my free time for 4 days (with few problems, no more than 2 invalid fits per day 3 tops), had some midterms, and now I want to relax. Today I've been trying to play all day and literally no more than one round inbetween forced reboots/disconnects and invalid fits. Right now I've been reloading the game for 40 min, and each time either I get server full (which will be invalid fit when I join the game) or I get into the game and it's invalid fit.
I eagerly await the new content (especially since I just got the merc pack yesterday!) so if nothing else, I can play continuously. |

I'm not sure if there's an over powered shield mod. for foot soldiers or some sort of exploit that only a couple people know about but ever once in a while I run into an assault soldier and we shoot each other (both of us start with full health only shooting at one another, no one else is shooting at either of us) from only about 5 to 10 feet and when I'm killed I've only taken half to 3/4ths his shield. Not even close to killing him! Anyone else running into this? |

i hope CCP keeps what they are good at. that is making a balanced game. unlike most companies that run beta just to test their servers out they seem to be making huge changes with every patch.
also vehicles are gods is really really really obnoxious.
but when i do destroy one, i feel as though i punched the guy on the other end in the stomach.

Could be hit detection problems meaning alot of your shots don't register. Could have been an enemy sniper tagging you. Could have been a guy in a proto suit with three complex shield mods and maxed out shield management. |

The Assault type II starts out with 225 shield vs every other assault dropsuit which has only 125.
Plus shield mods could have put it at around 300ish |

I'd say check what gun he killed you with... although on my screen you can't read the kill notification because the screen goes red for the entire time their kill notice is up (hence I cannot see it half the time unless the text falls over a nice black background to contrast the red of the screen tint) |

Well the game seems to be going backwards in terms of fun for me. Just feel like some strange things have happened balance wise with the suits nomalisation, tanks and weapons/mods that make me think they are havign a hard time and dont really know what to do.
I mean what they did with the AV nerf and suit HP changes well come on they just took a hammer to the suits and left it broken.
Well not my train set and will still play the game but I still miss the fast paced multi part maps from a few builds ago when you could fight tanks run fast and it was worth buying a proto suit.

413ish, I think with max skills - I don't think the shield hp skill bonuses apply to shield extender modules - only the dropsuit shields. I'm not 100% sure...will check later. |

^ My hopes on large player battles were dashed when I saw how laggy and unresponsive this game has become in the latest build with just twelve a side. I'd be amazed if it could ever get up to 24 a side with my experiences of it, and with the size and vacancy of the maps it's just not all that fun. |

This next build will reveal alot IMO.
If there's no improvement to the core mechanics and there's no balance between hardcore players and noobs then, well, I don't see much of a future for Dust. |
