this is a bit about DUST 514 so lets start...
EVE online has alien life form on their planets that we know.... but what about in the real universe, I'm not talking about UFO here, but life forms living on distance planets. now the universe is in number form is infinite to are knowledge meaning that we we can't identify the number in terms of how big it is. now a life form doesn't have to be intelligent i.e bacteria and so on. to my knowledge they think they found bacteria on mars meaning aliens do exist.

About the bacteria thing, there is always the debate that they brought them with them.
could of ,but the spacecraft are in the most clean environments when being made. |

you got to be kidding right? what numbers are you reading? |

Also if the univerise is infinite then lol of course the answer is yes and yes.
I just hope in my life time they find some proof that life existed on mars all that time ago when they think it might have had liquid H2O.
Go little rover go!
bacteria proof is all i need |

or do i just like sci fi to much? You like sci fi too much. IronDefender Avenged wrote:Maximus Stryker wrote:100% believe there is "life" out there in the universe. The odds are strongly in favor of existing life, the challenge is traveling great distances. I would argue the odds are strongly against it, so it really matters who is counting the numbers. Dwarf Galaxies have ~10 million to a couple hundred million stars Our Galaxy has ~200 billion stars Our neighboring Galaxy, the Andromeda Galaxy has ~1 trillion stars The biggest Galaxy ever discovered has ~100 trillion stars Estimated 100 billion Galaxies in the observable universe When you put those numbers together, you get an estimate of 10^24 stars in the entire Universe. Or a 1 followed by 24 zeroes. ThatGÇÖs 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars From HERE To be fair, there are some who estimate that the probability of life forming randomly is less than 10^-40 or some other absurdly small number. Math cuts both ways.
but small numbers in universe's infinite, makes these small numbers happen all the time. |

the term infinite is a number we haven't found yet...

Universe being infinite is another taken for granted number that just might not be true. We are getting into truly fuzzy concepts now though. For the record I think there is self-aware, replicating "somethings" out there, although I am not sure they are of the same scale or composition of what is commonly assumed for "life".
we haven't found the number for the universe yet so we just call it infinite for now.
but it is truly a big number. |

I was under the impression that the universe is expanding in every direction that it could one day stop expanding and begin to collapse again.
same here...
also before that happens all the lights in the sky will go out and the universe will be pitch black. |

space travel is just like how we traversed the sea.
we started small like a boat with paddles, couldn't get that far with that. so sails came along got a bit farther and so on, in space travel we're at the boat and paddle stage. |

bacteria under the ice on europa? entirely possible.
little green men that traveled halfway across the universe just to shine lights in our eyes? highly unlikely.
as i said before i'm happy with bacteria because then will know theres starting blocks out. |

it's possible but the odds of it are unthinkable, but because it happened it would happen again and again. |
