Yesterday I hitched a ride in a Surya and manned a Turret. To say the least, It was a very interesting experience on many levels.
a) We came a across an Assault merc and I tried to shoot him down. The guy showed balls and tried running up past my missile launcher's axis, and at one point got so close I could see him grinning behind that helmet. Yet however I aimed, my launcher grenades were flying so erratically I almost shot myself in the ass.
b) When shooting at a distance, at times the grenades seemed to disappear in the void.
c) Occasionally my turret jerked 90 degrees away, probably from the main cannon's blowback.
Now my question is: is that a normal part of my turret skill training being low, or part of malajusted turret behavior ?
EDIT: Before any AV infantry comes in with a flamethrower, I'm not complaining about tanks malfunctioning as I usually train as a foot soldier. I'm just trying to figure out this turret thing. |

There are no turret skills yet. Just the Operation skill that allow you to fit them to a tank.
The erratic flying of missiles is a know problem with small turrets esspecially when they are in motion.
The turret jerking away could also result from the limited angle of the turret and the driver turning a corner. Small turrets are quite weak ans the hit detection is messed up as well. |

Small turrets on the tanks main turrent don't have a full 360 turning radius, what could have happened is while you were at the very edge of your ability to turn the tanks main turret starts going the other way, jerking you in that direction. |

No he's right, Literally you'll fire where you crosshair is, and the shot will go off wild in another direction.
