I have aim assist off.
Some games I can aim no problem. its not the recoil - I can use recoil.
However, other games I find it very hard to keep the ADS on target. I am constantly fighting it to stay where it is. it keeps on trying to jump off the target or where I am placing the ADS.
I dont know if this is an aim assist bug or not and its accidentally switching on - but as I said, I have it off. Maybe its lag or something else?
but the game experience of aiming feels very different when it occurs.
I have noticed it this entire build and I wanted to be sure that existed before posting by experience many multiple times - it does.
Hope the above makes sense. |

Yeah the aiming in this game/beta is what made me not play it anymore. That and that I didn't even know how to spawn. |

Haha- Yes the spawn screen is confusing. I still haven't figured out if I am picking where i spawn or what when it says use deafault.
Aiming-That's what I am saying. What is going on here? As far as I can tell, other players avatars are not actually where I am seeing them on the screen. |

The only help I've had with aiming is noticing that the reticle point turns orange when I'm "on target", but it's really of limited value. The best way to aim is to get in people's face in your Assault dropsuit and pray & spray.
I'm finding Scout very hard to play; the reticle drift is tough to compensate for, and while all guns seem to have unlimited range across the screen (?), I keep winding up trying to drift my aiming point over where I think an enemy is at 'til it turns orange. Often enemies are so far away I can't actually see them; they're just grey smears against a grey background with some grey dirt nearby.
When the sniper rifle hits, it's powerful, but aiming is a serious chore. Maybe this improves with additional skill levels? It's almost unusable right out of the gate, though. Scout dropsuit only gives you 1 hi-slot and your primary weapon is nearly broken? Assault time.. =) |

Yep, aiming is supposed to be greatly improved in the next build....supposedly.
By the way, if you get shot by certain weapons, it actually knocks your aim off. It's a feature apparently. Which does make sense. I'd imagine if i were getting shot in the chest and arms, my aim may jump around a bit. Doesn't make it any less annoying, i agree. |
