in the official release, when you play with the keyboard and mouse will the controls be translated into keys. because i do play with the board and mouse, but it gets really confusing when it says "press O to join a game" and im playing with keys. and if i ever use the controller when i have my keyboard plugged in, it freezes everything and i have to exit the game. could you fix this! :D |

Try plugging your keyboard in to the second USB ... it may be a compatibility issue with being in the same controller slot as the DS.
Keys :
X - keyboard E
Square - keyboard R
Triangle - keyboard 'left control'
Circle - keyboard 'space bar'
Start - keyboard enter
Select - keyboard T
L1 - mouse right button also works as circle in menus
L2 - keyboard X ... I believe though I can't throw grenades so I don't fit them :-(
R1 - mouse left button also works as X in menus
R2 - caps lock activates the weapon switch menu but you have no right stick control so use mouse wheel to scroll through weapons instead.
Dpad right - keyboard V
Dpad down - I'm not sure, think M brings the map up
Dpad left - keyboard Z, again I believe so, but it's easier to turn off PTT
Dpad up - not found a mapping to bring up the player list ... you still need the controller to hand for some stuff.
The only exception I've found is upon death it says square to call for help - think this works, but circle to suicide you actually have to press E, for some reason.
Most of the rest of the mappings translate into the menu systems aswell so I've temporarily stuck some symbols to those keys until remapping is available. |

E is "action" or "interact" which is why it's E to suicide. It's also E to hack or enter a vehicle. |
