Is this a free roam game like gta? not comaparing games just the ROAM. Will u be able to walk around the planets? i dont quite understand how it plays!
Edit: It sounds like with all the discusion about high, low and null sec, its free roam! well in places ur corps control.
I dunno just trying to understand! why i need police to help me! Will i be walking around and then boom snipered loss of assets? assaulted boom loss of assets or sat on by a heavy boom loss of assets? |

it is my understanding that when your character is in their Merc quarters they will be safe, along with your personal assets.
the transportation in New Eden is still undisclosed as far as how Dusters move around. My guess is it will not be free roam like GTA.
My guess is that we will be in our merc quarters and when we want to go to a specific place to do battle, our consciousness will be transferred to "clone units" spread throughout the New Eden star cluster (apparently New Eden is not a galaxy) and we will fight on the district/planet. Once the battle is over, our consciousness will go back to our clone in our Merc Quarter.
Also, rumors that we will be able to store our Merc quarters in different player owned structures/bases.

As far as high-sec, it looks like you'll be dealing entirely with hanging around in stations, or actively fighting in small matches. As far as the other security levels, the idea with FAction Warfare at least is that you would be flying from system to system in your War Barge, which you'll be able to freely roam, and fighting on much larger battlefields. No word as of yet on how the null-sec system will work. |
