So I realize I'm a bit late to the party but I was hoping you guys could help me out. I'm having a hard time getting SP from matches. I've been playing for a few days and I've been more or less stuck and not really able to gear up. I'm usually getting around 6k SP per match, sometimes 10k and I'm starting to get a bit discouraged since I'm not really able to actually play the game without constantly getting blown up.
I shoot people, hack stuff and throw out nanohives and I'm wondering:
How much SP should I be getting per match?
What is the best way? A lot of one thing or a little of everything? Does each action carry a fixed amount or is there a multiplier in there?

You should be getting at least 20k with hacking. Being a turret gunner on a tank yields a lot more though.
But starting out I suggest you learn how to put together a fitting for a Hackrunner with Scout, Sprint speed boost and maybe a hack module. With this you can start scouting the maps and hack uncovered installation or the odd control point.
In Ambush it helps to be in a squad with a squad leader. If you are the squad leader yourself (Press R2 and press R3 in the radial menu - if it shows something else you are the man.) assign a defend order (x in the command menu and R1 targeting the object that shall be defended) on a supply station or a vehicle and you gather warpoints for your squad doing stuff around that DEFEND beacon. Same goes for being there when you squad has the order. |

i guess my average SPis around 30k the way i would suggest getting some SP is be a logi, the standard suit has3 equipment slots which can all get you lots of xp, the nano hive is a good start so you are on the right track, next i use a nanite injector to revive people (more points than a kill) and then i either have a repair tool for healing fatties or if in ambush i use drop uplinks to help people spawn, if yours is the only one in the map most people will spawn at it
failing that just jump in someone tank and just ***** on assists |

i do tank all the time, between 12pm 8pm pacific i get about 50-100k sp per game....all other times of the day its impossible for me to get above 13k |

Of course you have to keep diminishing sp rewards in mind. After each battle you complete your sp return degrades until you can gain as many WP you like and still don't go above 10k to 20k. |

Getting in a squad with a decent squad leader that will give you objectives should help A LOT. Also, you would have a better support around you. As you may be the less skilled, you may have to play "logi guy" at first using nanohives and nanoinjector but it shall earn you a LOT of sp.
Try and find mates to play with on a regular basis. Try the "local" textchat of your corp ;)
Seriously, teamplay is what will earn you SP at this point. The WP bonus when objectives are set is huge. |
