You know...I had this happen the other day (similar). I didn't post anything, but since this is going to now become a fair topic, I will weigh in.
I find this kind of behavior disgusting. I ACCIDENTALLY threw a 'nade at an enemy LAV when guy on my team was hacking it. I didn't know, but luckily, it didn't blow. so I left him and his new prize alone. Then, suddenly I was taking hits from behind me. Now, as I understand it, friendly fire is not enabled, but I did take shield damage, so 'derp?' Anyway, I turned around and it was the same guy -- purposely shooting at ME, because I apparently 'wronged' him by trying to kill an enemy LAV. I shot across his nose and he quit. I turned around again to start back at the battle and...BOOM...again with the shield hits from behind. I finally shot a few his way and took off. But really, even if this is 'allowed' behavior - which I guess, in a complex game, you can't 100% avoid it, but really...WTF ***holes! I get it if you are miffed by an action, but you DON"T shoot your own teammates, or block them in if you have ANY SENSE OF CHARACTER or RESPECTABILITY.
He wound up spending the whole game hunting me and did the same thing at an infantry level. He blocked me into a corner that I could not get out of. So, I can't wait for friendly fire to get turned on due to this shenanigans. I will not hesitate to blast this kind of player in the face when I can. Ted - I feel for your post for sure. PLUS, STB has been going a LONG way to improving it's image here in New Eden (kudos and I'm getting to like you guys). This is just haters hating and F them. I'm with you. Eye for an eye - record the names and send 'em to me. I will help you fight fire with fire (pun completely intended). This kind of poop is for kindergarteners. Bring it on coward traitors! As for noobs thinking they understand the dynamic of STB these days here in Dust, boo to you...get some balls and figure out for yourselves whether these blokes are worth getting on the bad side of!

I CAN NOT WAIT for the vendetta system. trust me...I'm fairly sure there are just as many (if not more) people that hate me, as I hate them and we both want to give each other several new breathing holes. That's half the fun! But...when we can't take care of our own problems (no FF) then it's annoying. I see that if FF gets turned on, the abuse goes the other way. So the real question here that we have uncovered for CCP is....
How do we balance FF vs. Unplayability...If EvE and DUST are such the 'dog eat dog' world that folks want to make it out to be, then so be it. "We bought our tickets, we knew what we were getting into. I say, let us crash!"
Turn on FF...
EDIT: Accidents are one thing...This post is to address purposeful traitors. Do it if you want. take the chance...get the money. I'm not saying it doesn't happen or exist. I'm just saying, let us defend ourselves against it. Eh... |

You got it SON...problem here is, they made be on your team, you know, since it's a test. I would never CHOOSE to be on your team. That's the problem and, yes, when FF is finally around - you are still on the list. Best of luck. If you wipe my 'nerd'-*** out, more power to you bro, but the only thing I wonder is...what's with the assumption that I'm a nerd? That means absolutely nothing in an async world bud. And if you think that breaks my heart, then you are RIGHT! I wish there weren't folks as judgmental and superficial as yourself out there, so, yeah it breaks my heart. I hope your platoon mates (from when you served in combat) didn't feel this way about you. Tragic really.  |
