Reviving seems kind of pointless in instant matches, as there is no benefit beyond 60wp for reviving your ally. Running out to save someone right now is a large risk to yourself, and the time it would take to revive someone and rep their armour back to full takes about as much time as it does for them to just mash O and respawn as soon as possible.
However, most people who are running expensive fits would like very much to be revived to save some isk on the fit. If people were able to put up a sort of "bounty" on their own suit, a strait isk reward that was shown along with the revive symbol on the mini-map. Logistics would have more incentive to play an obviously weaker and sometimes ineffective class, and more expensive fits would have a decent chance of being revived.
Obviously this might lead to some exploits that would have to be addressed, but by applying a 1 per life bounty limit most can be avoided. This also lets the bounty be calculated right into the cost of the fit to avoid any need for wallet checking during the fight to make sure you have enough isk to cover your revives. |

Thats what i mean, if your playing with randoms there's no incentive for someone to risk an expensive logi suit for someone who isn't going to give them any benifit. On the other hand if you offer them a portion of the suits cost the risk vs. reward suddenly becomes worth it. |

It is, but do you see very many logistics, or even assaults with nanite injectors, helping people on ambush maps? I certainly don't, so it obviously needs some tweaking. |
