So I think it would be neat if you could damage/level buildings and structures, but with a twist. Any damage done to ground installations by Dust mercs must be repaired by the winning party in EVE. This could add an interesting dynamic to macro-scale conflicts. For example: maybe in contracts there could be parameters for acceptable collateral damage? Maybe the losing team could adopt a scorched earth policy last minute to try to put a deduction in the winner's contract pay? The possibilities are actually pretty intriguing, and adds a new level of strategy to gameplay. Do you want to level that comms tower to prevent snipers, or do you keep it intact for more money? Choices like this could set Dust apart! |

+1 I do hope for this. Especially with players wielding insane firepower (forgeguns, tanks, explosives, etc.), it would warrant caution for those corps/Alliances that want the structures intact.
Yes, damagable structures would be great, especially when genuine siege warfare actually takes place, where defensive walls, shield domes, tall turrets, etc., where you actually have one band of mercenaries trying to use said structures to augment their defense, whilst the offense band is attempting to break through. |

I just remembered that CCP was talking about the Rogue drone horde mode they had planned. What if your goal was to keep them from destroying base structures? I know that drones love to grab scrap and use it to build their hive, so what if each bit of damage they do comes out of your contract? |

Its called the Frostbite Engine..... CCP should have used it and not Unreal....Battlefield Bad Company 2 really showed off what is possible. Frostbite 2 engine is now out and they used it in Battlefield 3. Its funny because they even had Battlefield guys work on DUST 514... Not sure who made the call to use Unreal.... worst thing that could have happened to DUST 514. |

Yeah.....I dunn about Frostbite, but the Unreal engine was a poor choice. Its not really meant for this kind of stuff. |

Forums have allready had qa discussion on this everyone wants it but we also believe it should be held off as a possible expansion post launch
As for the engine unreal was the most logical choice search the forums for a thread about this many have been brought up with good exlanations for why unreal was picked
If ur ganna say that this cant be added post launch dont bother anything can be added pot launch the big game companies ruling the market just say it cant cause they dont want to expand there crrent gam3 they want it to become outdated quickly so they can release anouther $60 game thats an exact copy just wearing diffrent clothes and flashing 1 or 2 new features at u that most private garage programmers would have already mod it into there own personal copy of the previous game
This game aint ganna have a sequel or a chain it will have eve dust and possible other games tied into it :possibly a sim game controling the city populations. All games tied into the eve universe will be updated for aslong as the universe is active and that can even mean a change in the supporting engine ive seen eve change engines atleast twice post launch |

Let me just say this.... If a TITAN is above the planet and then bombards it from space everything should be flattened.... DUST DEVS! Why o why would you do this to us! Spend 3 years crafting a game that in it self is so perfect but give it a crapy foundation? Please of please don't ever do this again to anymore of your games! THANKS! |
