Some ideas Ive seen around that I like and believe should get more noticed.

Ariel AoE drop that pulls airborne targets out of the sky if they get near its short AoE.
I going to explain this idea a bit better.
This would be a large drop that a LAV would put down once up the airspace above the device would have a webifer bubble in it, now since webifer slow things down and since flight requires enough motion to get off the ground I put the two together to for a device that would drop/pull vehicles out of the air.
Something like this would have a small radius and would be used to mainly stop gunship(air to ground assault vehicle) from having complete superiority. I figured this would be a cool EVE like Arial denial device for a space age game. |

DRONES Drones would be simple thing that fit in your equipment slot along with nanohives and injectors, they would be pretty simple doing bare bone basic task and float around you as a small ball of floating metal. They would be interesting element to gameplay and can be used for when you don't want to send in yourself. Drones could be small targets with low health making them useful so long as the other team has bad aim.
Medic drones would stay near the owner unless order to somewhere else and would revive any player in their vicinity with a short animation and would have you as the priority revivify.
Spy drones would float straight up above you and increase you TACNET sensor radius. Making them very useful but would tend to stay in one spot so a sniper could easily take them out.
Hacking drones would take longer to hack an objective but would give you a bit more freedom, hack drones would be the only one I say who could come back "in" to the suits/
Combat drone, would have a very weak low RoF weapon and would simple shoot at what ever your shooting at, they themselves would also be weak against attack.
Gank Drones, would float into a group of enemy's and explode they would be have low health but would travel in random zigzag spiral patterns so if a player good with a gun he could cause a gank to gank prematurely |

I don't hate these ideas, in fact I like a bunch of them:
I'm glad someone besides me wants lightning guns and plasmathrowers.
Based on the knife being removed and readded as a sidearm next patch, melee weapons will be sidearms.
I think that the upcoming Scrambler Rifles might be lightning guns.
MTACS are already confirmed to be coming.
Some kind of vehicle webbing is coming also based on what was said at EVE Fanfest 2012. Webifier grenades would be really freaken awesome. Would be awesome also to have a Mass Driver with webifier rounds in, and also EMP (shield damaging HUD disabling) rounds in.
I don't think gunships should be added, they would be flying tanks. Just fighters that can be customised to be air-to-air or air-to-ground.
I don't think an APC is needed, dropships are already a good troop transport vehicle.
The energy shield and riot shield should just be one thing, and a primary weapon. Here is how I want it to work.
I like the idea of cool powers, like teleportation... but that would require wormholes. I suppose there could be a device like a drop uplink (which work like wormholes), but you would need to have another planted somewhere that connects to the one on your suit, and you could only teleport to that one point. I would support that as long as it takes like 10 seconds to teleport, this would prevent people from abusing it as a way of escaping gun battles. It would just be easier to have a 2 installations that the Commander deploys that act as wormholes entrances and exits.
I like cloaking, and I'm fairly certain its coming. This is how I want cloaking to work.
Grappling hooks I use to find stupid, but I suppose it depends on how its implemented.
I don't see the point of having vehicles deploy things when you could just have the deployables as installations.

Because it gives tanksa a massive advantage to not have to be worry about ever running out of ammo, for example missiles are great weapons capable of bring payloads at any range, their drawback? One missile takes up a lot of space. Why nerf damage and splash when they can be balanced with a realistic drawback and limit?
All of this depends on wethet or not ccp can bring it in correctly.
I would like LAVs having a role of supporting defense by bring drops that are two big for logi to carry around it make people consider LAVs for something else. |

a drone strike would be called in to do a heavy bombing run, or it could do a precision strike, or it could just drop some effect. this would give another element to warfare. along with this i think orbital bombardment should do alot more destruction.
a laser designator could become a side arm used to guide in a strikes and would be allow people to spec in calling those in, this would work best if a grid system was implemented and normal mercs not equiped with the designator could only call in general bombard to a grid coord, where as the laser could pick any spot it wanted |

when we play with CCM, the gameplay is more similar of battlefield 2142, there was in that game the titan, CCM instead. But in that game there was some turret chaingun. i think DUST's Drone like that. Alien's (by ridley scott) Sentrygun. And we can modify that like we want, or like an another armor (with missile, boost, rifle long range, medical center, and so on...) |

REASONING Now I prefer games especially games that allow customization tog Ive players horde of option when they are fitting, not just increasing damage or EHP but things that open ways for new tactics to form and that why I suggest some of this stuff.
I believe dust can become a great Sci-fi war-game opening up endless combinations and strategy to its player, but more non weapon related and no EHP related tools should be provided not to mention more in-depth systems. A major part of warfare is the support element of it and I think dust should portray that accurately.
Please keep in mind when I suggest a crossbow or grappling hook like device that what I think they should effectively operate like not musically add a crossbow to the game. For example have a magnetic link that allows you to throw a link onto a ledge and it stick to it then you could trigger it and be pulled via magnetism and other scifi elements up towards. Or when I suggested a crossbow a hi energy railgun that fired a bolt of pre charged plasma could fill this. |

You have alot of ideas, very good. I can see it took some time to write them and organize your thoughts. However a blanket article may not be the best way for people to side with your post and get it noticed. Because if one person is going to reply in favor of one issue or disagree with multiple issues they must take your list and go through it one by one stating their opinion. This would take alot of time, and it's not something people tend to want to do.
Suggestion: Take each of your ideas one by one and see if there are already threads voicing your same opinion. If so join them an post a reply, if not disagree and post a reply. (alot of what you are suggesting is on the boards)
If a thread does not exist, post a new one: idea by idea. Then it is quick and easy for people to find and reply to and easier to catalog.

GRENADES well i beleive nades need a rework and some attention ecause of their increase usage during battle, nades are pretty useful now and people are hurling them all over the place so they need to be looked at agian. primarly their throw mechenic and "bounce" need some work. and some mroe varity wouldnt hurt |

CONTROLLING THE BATTLE FIELD Expanding on the idea of drops and how they already alter the flow of maps, what if we players had far more choices at are finger tips? Team coordination would allow different kinds of drops that accomplish different things to work towards a common goal.
Vehicles even after the nerf are still hell on wheels, there is nothing in dust yet capable of bringing that much fire power to bare but they are big and bulky and limited to roads more or less. Why not have drops that capitalize on this?
GÇóThe first big thing are the barricades, would be a simple drop that takes up enough CPU/pg its not just a after thought, once it comes up it would create a small nanohive sized bubble(maybe a bit bigger) where it pushes vehicles away. One of these would denied tanks access to a narrow roads dropping two spaced out right would stop tanks from driving down a main road.
GÇóTire spikes, unlike the barricades these would be lower CPU/pg requirements and would have a player roll out a long drop that would do damage to what ever was on top of it, not much damage just enough to give that extra edge in a AV operation.
GÇóAoE webifers would work like their little bros the webifer grenades except rather than putting a few seconds of slow they create constant slow effect within a area, hence AoE. There have to be some fancy mechanics to deal with larger things that wont have all their mass on one point but these would be helpful and allow for some new strategies.
GÇó Mines AP and AV, I think by having these fill the grenade slot would balance out their perceived "unfairness" with loss of potential in other areas. These would allow players to "cover" a locations abievently by a very unintuitive method.
This and other stuff wouldn't just have AV applications. AP, AA, area denial and preventive measure are available as well.
GÇó Shield walls, would allow player to drop wall to provide cover for a location. When I think of these I think of a slightly curved pentagon shaped shield, that way a player can stand up at it center and be complete covered from the other side, while a player can stand at the edges and have the clearance to fire back, or crouch and be covered.
GÇó I mention allow LAV to make drops which would pretty much be drops you wouldn't expect a soldier to trug along with. Such as a mountable turrets(no auto mode) that can effective allow player to set up vehicle sized small turrets were ever they want(or fit a lav) or create some powerful and useful things that a player size drop would be to "small" to do.
It stands to reason that what ever a invention intended use, it will be perverted. Take for example the barricade, it pushes tanks away from it area of effect(a small bubble) what if your were to propel this same pushing force down range via remote explosives? Im well aware I lost you but bare with me I like this idea.
Would be a tool for indoor combat, a player could set up the drop on one end of a hall wall and when the enemy's come to down the hall wall in mass, blast them right out of hallway via force push on command. I like that analogy think of it as a device which force pushes anything down its range. A useful tool for halting a breach
