Very disappointing replies to this thread. Alot of you guys aren't getting the bigger picture here.
The simple fact is, the vast majority of players are going to feel exactly the same way about this game unless there is a DRAMATIC change between now and release. |

Really? It's a beta?
What is this beta forum for? Do we come in here after finding fault with the beta and say "I don't like the shooting mechanics or various other aspects of the game but hey, that's ok...it's a beta". No.
We are here to play DUST and report our feedback to the dev team.
This isn't about beta or alpha or any other stage of development. It's about giving concise, honest, clear feedback.
I run my own business. I don't listen to people who praise my work or give me positive feedback. I listen to the people with criticisms. I always want to know what I can do to improve every aspect of what I do.
Smart developers do this. They don't reply with "LOLZ GO PLAY CoD SKRUBZ". Whether you like the OP or not, his feedback is relevant.

I disagree.
You've got to pay attention to everything.
There a lot of very big shooters being released over the next few months. Borderlands 2, Medal of Honor, Black Ops 2...etc. DUST will need to attract players away from those franchises. The kinds of players like the OP that don't have patience to wait around for things to improve. They want it all NOW. That's the massive task facing this game.
CCP would do well to keep a lid on beta access until the game is in better condition.
Right now it's getting a serious panning on various game forums. |
