On a more positive side, crusader suits and modules will add a very nice new layer to the teamplay ! That i like.

I'm hoping they add some more stuff that will benefit scouts, or this next build is gonna be hard on my poor scout shotty. Im thinking since the mod to slow enemies down doesn't appear to be command suit only, I may just use that. I didn't see a mention of the previously mentioned miasma nades either....was lookin forward to those |

I'm most excited about the Command drop suits I was hoping they would so something like that. Having a dedicated squad leader will be glorious. As long as we dont have to wait for one guy to restart every game. |

Crusader suits, commander suits are mcc controllers now. |

[DEV] Plasma Cannon
Description:
"A mid-range anti-material weapon, the shoulder-mounted rocket launcher provides infantry squads with the means to effectively engage armored vehicles. Modified from Frigate ship technology, the CBR7 is a man-portable rocket launcher allowing single units to deliver devastating payloads against material targets."
So I would imagine this is a racial variant for the swarm launcher, due to similar description.
edit:
And that part which I bolded would indicate that it does it's primary damage to armor not shields. |

Although I think they should still be called Command suits instead of Crusader suits, since they are modeled after Command ships in Eve and the word Crusader is very much Amarrian bias in nature. Maybe rename the MCC pilot suit to something different? Or maybe they share the same suit type of Commander and get bonuses to two different roles? |

With melee, I'd imagine that it would be an additional secondary that only takes a knife. If you don't put anything in it, you get the standard knife, if you add something to it, you get that knife as a replacement. So no matter what, you have the option to knife..
If not, then I hope they add some ammo resupplies in each map because I often run out of ammo on ambush maps and most Logis don't understand that Im out of ammo when I jump up and down trying to fire infront of them. Oh well. |

Yeah, but you have to admit, the word Crusader just screams Amarrian for obvious reasons. Maybe call the ground command suit "Officer Dropsuit" or the MCC command suit "Overseer Dropsuit". |

I'll counter that as a merc I couldn't care less about religious, social, or political issues, which the word "crusade" implies. Also I'm sure you're aware it's already a ship in Eve.
CCP has always been pretty clever in their ability to name things, they've also done a really fine job of keeping their naming conventions parallel between Eve and Dust, to mitigate confusion. The word crusader doesn't imply "group bonuses" at all. Using an existing ship name that has little to do with merc duty seems less than creative to me.
I mean, it's a cool name and all, and I wouldn't be bruised to see it during launch, I just think there are more effective alternatives. |
