CCP Cmdr Wang wrote: The following topics were discussed by the dev team this week regarding gameplay issues in the beta:
Ambush GÇ£Default spawn pointsGÇ¥ still the biggest issue to players for this game mode Update: there are lots of fixes to address this issue (and its not just telling you guys to use more drop uplinks! )
Players dislike the wording of Basic Auto-Detonator Update: This item is not in-game yet and will not be a weapon that gets easy kills.
Other Suggestions and Feedback/Requests
[SUGGESTION] Effective range on weapons - A new feature that offers target intel will address this issue with effective range on weapons plus damage types and damage modifers.
[FEEDBACK] Why gunplay feels GÇ£offGÇ¥ (Sensitivity, ADS, POV, Grenade throwing) - There is an improved FPS system which will address many of the issues that should be in the next update.
[REQUEST] Item compare - This is planned for a later release, there will be a new tab to compare the current item with your favored one.
[FEEDBACK] Infinite missile tracking - Currently missiles do have a max range and life time, there will be more tweaks for this.
[REQUEST] Weapon customization: Subsystem, Rigging, Slots, or Add-ons - The design for this is ready, but it is a very large task to implement it in-game. Expect this at a later date.
That's it for this week, we appreciate your feedback/comments so keep up the good work!

All of these items are awesome, and I'm really excited for them, but fix the basic crashes, freezes, and glitches.
i have next to zero knowledge of game design/development but I have read/heard that:
BAD PLAN = put out content, fix all bugs, put out more content, fix all new bugs & repeat bugs, put out more content, fix all new bugs & repeat bugs etc.
BETTER PLAN = put out content, fix a few bugs, put out content, put out content, fix a lot of bugs, put out content, fix a few bugs, put out content, put out content, fix a lot of bugs etc.
point is that it is sometimes better just to release a lot of the content first then fix everything once because you may be fixing the same problem multiple times if you fix after every release of content... |
