I ran into a specific bug that causes a perpetual disconnection, until the game is rebooted. I'll post the procedure to recreate it:
Character > Skills > All Skills
"Swarm Launcher Operation (2x)" is not purchased in my skill list
Purchase Skill Book > "Would you like to use the skill book" > Yes
"You have been disconnected from the server." > OK
This part repeats indefinitely until I reboot the whole game.
Note, the server is not down, I can play a game, however, my game thinks it is disconnected.
Edit: I noticed when checking the market that the skill book requires "Weaponry III" to use. Perhaps the error involves learning the book when I do not meet the requirements. |

I have run into a similar problem when purchasing shield upgrade, shield operation, vigor, and endurance. With shield upgrade/operation I would get charged ISK and then I would get disconnected from server. Happened 4 times in a row. With vigor and endurance I would get charged and then nothing would happen. No skill book would show up. Probably spent 500k or so on the tests. Reported the issue on the shield upgrade/operation. |

good its not just me i just posted a new topic about this, i have had the same problem, and i really need the shield operation, because it helps you shield recharge rate, and without it your kind of weak, i wasted over 500k isk, i really hope they fix these glitched skills makes me not want to play till its fixed |

I experienced this problem as well. I did it 3 times with the shield management skill book.
- I bought the book and when I tried to use the book I'd get disconnected. The next time I tried, I had to purchase the book again.
Turns out, I was trying to use a skillbook that I didn't have the pre-requisite skills for. So there are several bugs with this experience:
1. When I tried to use the skillbook, I did not get a warning saying that I did not have the pre-requisites. Instead I get disconnected.
2. The next time I tried and clicked on the skill, it did not recognize that I already had the book in stock, meaning I did not see the "use skillbook" option. And therefore I ended up buying it again. (Happened 3 times). So now I have 3 extra copies of the skill book.
That's all I have to report on this. |
