Something Id pay money fot is personel customization, thing I could buy with aurum that would change my armor look and I would pay for the ability to customize our merc faces like eve players. This would be a great way to generate money paying for cosmetic changes.
1. Armor models would be.purely cosmetic changes to the look of the armor you own and will buy. It would change a suits model but not its stats. It would be permanent and no matter how many suits a player looses it wont get destroyed. It changes all the suit you own of a single type(scout assault logi etc) and only affect the suit you own if you sell a suit it doesn't apply to that suit. It could cost 1000 aurum
2 armor add on, like the above it would be a perenant thing to all the suits in your inventory and it doesn't change stats. Having things that attach to your suit like pauldrons, kamas(from starwars clone trooper), visors etc. Just to add flavor and extra to the suits and would allow customization. They would cost like 200 aurum
3. Color pattern would work just like the other two but would put a overlay to the suits color like clone troopers from starwars had color marking for commander. I don't want a total change to the color change like changing the intire suits color because I have an idea for a camouflage skin for suits that would have a function.
Id pay money for this. Permanent changes that affect everything in our inventory. |

So permanent changes so you can spend 10 dollars and be done with it?
I like CCP original idea where you can buy disposable side grades. A Breach AR with better range but reduced damage for just a few aurum. Their current 'buy the next upgrade for super reduced stats and requirements' is a crappy idea. |

I'd spend money on customizational options rather than items that I'd loose over time.
Honestly I don't really see a lot of people paying for this game if the only things you can buy are basically equivelant to items one can buy with ISK... |

Id prefer buy stuff that you would keep and cuatomize your character with, things that change how you look on the battlefield different suit models addon colors just a bunch of stuff to make you stand out on the battlefield. I dont want to buy just 1 use item thats a slight improvement, my aurum would be better spent on SP boosters. |

There definately needs to be a lot more options of things to buy beyond what the market currently offers, as there is no real incentive to buy AUR for those items... I only bought the Mercenary pack since it was on sale and came with extras like the permanent Dragonfly suit |

bumping as I really think this is something the dev/commerce team needs to look at seriously...
I'm not aware of any game on a console that has succeeded with such a system...
I know of 1 shooter that has a similar game economy that is f2p but the weapons are almost pay to win, but also have customization options as well. |

It was Abraxas, wasn't it? It's always Abraxas.
I am entirely for this idea. As long as it doesn't overwhelm everything else on the store, as cosmetic items have done to some other F2P games. |

Corp wide visual customization options could be interesting. The ability to create an aesthetic look that alters how all members appeared in game would be great. Successful Corps that want to look professional could pool resources and essentially create a uniform. Be it a one time fee or regular subscription. |

Thats sounds pretty cool allow corps to fork over money to have uniforms aswell would be pretty cool. but personalization of our armor from the models to addons and color schemes would be great stand out on the battlefield.
Some corps could even use addons for role distinction, like for example having a red overlay would signal the command and a single splotch of color could distingish troops within a sqaud, kamas(still dont know what they are really called) could signal a AV guy, while paudldrons could signal a explosive expert. And what ever cool addon CCP could think of the more the better I want to be able to mix and match so I stand out. |

A main reason that capsuleers cannot paint their ships is that the strain on the server to render each individual persons changed ship would be huge in comparison to the server rendering the same base to each ship (minus turrets on closer inspection). I am wondering if the same roadblock would be here in DUST. |

U spelt customization wrong.
You have only seen one model base... I'm not sure what models/ classes we using, but each of the corporations have different models.
If you actually take the time---TAKE THE TIME---to look through out the entire menus... You will see lil things, that you and several of your buddies keep saying... I wunt dis in game...
You will be able to customize your vehicle, your character... In the game, but this is just the beta...
YOu will be able to purchase special customizations... Find rare one-of-a-kind outfits... That will be like trophies or something.
You and YOUR Lil buddies NEED TO LOOK AT ALL THE OPTIONS OF THE GAME, before babbling about suggestions. Other than that you and yr lil buddies look like you r trolling.

Someone's got a stick up their butt...
personally I don't see myself spending any (more) real money on this game after full release based on what I can buy with AUR so I hope the devs pay attention to suggestions like these to come up with more creative ways to make money off this game as I'm sure while the player base currently may have a larger portion of people buying AUR since a lot of EVE players and PC gamers who are more inclined to spend money in such a fashion on a game, but I doubt the majority of new players that will try this game out will be of the same percentage as it is now. So unless new creative ideas are discussed and developed for the game's monetization it could flop |

I'd be down for this, because the keyword here being permanent.
I don't think I will ever spend real money on AUR that can be lost simply because I die due to lag or a server error or something. However I would most definitely spend AUR on things that are permanent. I don't play an online game to lose money each time I die.
I mean seriously, real life consequences for what happens in a game? No thanks! Give me permanent stuff for my money! |

There's also no "loss" to this idea, if it's made available no one has to spend anything on it so those who aren't interested lose nothing. However anyone who is gets the option and CCP gains some income.
In addition having these options open doesn't replace or preclude any of the other options, it's supplementary.
+1 for player choice :)

Its interesting the lack of interest in such a topic as I had seen more interest previously... Mostly I just don't see the in game economy really being successful as a console game... the dynamics of game purchases are a different beast on consoles than on pc games... I'd hate to see the game fail because the person behind the economic system didn't realize the potential pitfalls of such a market on a console game...
Another decent option is more things like the merc pack that give aur and various permanent items... but for dropsuits they would need to be upgradeable based on either play style or skill purchased to be comprable to prototype as when a good chunk of players have proto suits and weapons what will they need to buy with aur or real money... |

Have to agree permanent cosmetic modifications would likely go down quite well things i would suggest are probably already suggested.
Camo/colors for the suits: This would include primary colors(red, blue, green so on so forth), different camo paterns such as jungle, volcanic, urban, aqua, snow, ect.
Color position maybe to be able to decide how the camo/colour is applied maybe to have the armor plates un colored or have the colors/camo faded or worn looking general stuff like that.
Maybe to have different armour plate varients stuff like helmets, chest plate, shoulder plates, gauntlets, boots, thigh plates, the ability to remove certain plates would be cool aswell but then we are in the area of why am i still as tough and not lighter so maybe that should be left out.
Over suits stuff like cloacks, trench coats, guilie suits.
Miscellaneous just pure and utter random stuff, alternative eyepatches of minmatar for example, back packs, underlay to the armour different materials, different materials for armour |

also people assume the game p2w with all the aurum items around and that is bad for a f2p games playerbase, by having it purely cosmetic it would be alot better for that. |
