Ok, where to start...
CCP I know darn well you can do better than this. Almost 10 years running and you still can't manage to get the market on test to work properly or load half the time.
The controls are a tad CLUNKY, I can get use to it, but still. Even using mouse/keyboard on the PS3, I find myself still having to use the sixaxis part of the time to navigate the game outside of a match.
I've experienced 2 hard lockups after finishing matches, these required me to unplug the PS3 since the slim model doesn't have a power switch. Note those two occurred during the loading process after leaving the score screen. And 1 soft lockup causing me to have to use the ps button to restart the system to be able to return to using it.
Is it a limitation of the PS3 hardware, as to why the graphic textures look so low res?.

They probably do not have their entire team working on DUST, which means it's going to take longer to develop. |

If you are a long term eve player you should know that ccp is always improving... well they are always working on improvements. Sometimes those improvements are worse than what we had before...I'm looking at you walking in stations. So don't expect this game to be made perfect by release that's not ccps stile |

I started playing EVE in 2005 and have been waiting for this game since it was announced. So far it's fun but you can definitely tell it's in Beta form. I'm a long time Battlefield player so I was anxious for Dust.
Things I like so far:
Does not feel like COD OR BF (it totally feels like it's own game) SOOOO MANY items to choose from (no other shooter can compare) Fatigue bar is nice & long Huge maps Earning SP based on performance Too complicated for idiots to figure out
Things I dislike so far:
Not enough teamwork (probably just because the game is so new) Zoom is RB1 and Fire is RB2 (Should be triggers not bumpers) Glitch spot snipers (cmon already?) Arrows above everyones head PSN is vastly uncompetetive compared to XBL |

<<<< also long time eve player, ive had the same issues as you, plus i get the invalid fittings prob every 3 matches. also get server internal error disconnects throughout the night and have lost 6 tanks thus far from them. the graphics bother me too since eve is awesome and i know they have the capability to make dust graphics awesome, however this is still the beta and i assume/hope they will make the graphics super come final release and its prob last on their list atm, on that note as a fellow eve player you and i know that we eve players demanded that ccp cut the dust staff and other projects and focus their attention soley on eve leaving very few devs to work on dust, and that was months before the beta was even heard of. so the bugs, the release delays and the overworked devs are our fault and we should just deal with it.....eve is real ya know?

I have played EVE for years and the Dust graphics are very sub-par. The supposed screenshots of the game posted online look great. What happened? Did they lower the texture quality? I do know the game does not run in 1080.
As well, i find the controls extremely cumbersome. Now, I have never really liked console controllers for precise shooter games, but Dust's controls feel especially sluggish. I was excited to use the mouse but it is impossible to be accurate unless you are mostly stationary. Even turning the mouse sensitivity all the way up takes at least 3 or 4 mouse swipes to turn my character around. I tried two completely different mice, a Microsoft and a Logitech.
Now, I'm not the best FPS player, but i have logged hundreds of hours on various PC FPS games over the last decade. And i have to say Dust is nowhere near the quality of a PC game. The graphics are blurry (even up close on a pc monitor), the directional rotation is the slowest of any game i can remember, and the interface/controls need serious customization. EVE is so sharp and smooth, this game feels like the original Halo or something. |

Change your DS3 controller mapping in the game settings. There is an option for shooting with triggers. |

Controls feel sluggish. I've just started playing with a mouse and while it's much better, even with sens at 100% with 5400 DPI cranked to max and smoothing turned off does it start to feel great.
The glitchiness of the game itself is a big letdown. The whole system jumps and hangs and the result is a really sluggish, glitchy game experience. The lag is also inconsistent and a big let down.
Being removed from a game at random with no explanation and then told 'the server is full' when trying to join a new game is offensive and should not be in any game. |

So true. Just give it time. From a long time FPS player, I'm excited to see how this skill system explodes even when we hit open beta. It's not always about graphics. If you want a spiffy looking PS3 shooter go play BF3. Only BF3 isn't ever going to be integrated into another MMO, or the one you guys love to play. Nor does it have a diverse system of actually building a character. I would hope the graphics get sharper as the release gets closer, but if not I will still play. I'm interested in planet conquering, and how that will spill over into EVE online. I'm excited to see what real eve players will motivate good dust players with to assure certain planets get conquered. I'm also willing to wade through the sluggishness, the excessive glitches and freezes. I know when those things get fixed I'll see progression in a game, and that's pretty cool to get to be a part of if this thing does get as big as it could be.
Who knows though, we could be sitting here 4 months from now having the same conversation. Still gives us something to do. :] |

The only problem I have with the game at the moment is the turn speed. I haven't been able to invest in a PC in years so I am well used to the controller, and the controls do need improvement. I don't mind the graphics as I could care less how it looks so long as it plays well, Hell I some times go back to the first unreal ( not tournament ) because I loved the atmosphere in that game. Graphics are the polish that can come later.
Anyone who has played BF3 or any new highend game on a ps3 more so the slim will have experienced a hard freeze at some point, just a problem with end of life tech in my opinion. But I agree that it does happen more so in Dust then any other game I have played which is why I'm waiting on the next build to see if there is any improvement.
Apart from the known current issues I love this game and can't wait for full release.

When the game starts to give you wierd errors like
- Disconnected from the server - Unable to access drosuit fittings or market - Team section when not in a Team (doesn't necesarily hinder the game in any ways) - invalid fittings - Instant battle taking forever Restart the game. ( XMB->Quit the game -> play Dust 514 )
Haven't had the game doing that kind of crash for few weeks now. Few times Ps3 might have done hard resets, but none of the press the power button for 10s+ or pull the plug freezes. |

Why Sony would make it 30 seconds instead of 5 or even 10 makes no sense to me. |
